"I think ClickUp Can Make You Smarter."
What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp will literally slap your goals to your face and have every task or move you do impact that life or yearly goal. That is such a compelling feature to me because I can see my progress. I can see what I’ll be giving up if I stop now. It forces me to police myself to stay on track. It forces me to prioritize. It forces me to build a habit across the board from daily habits to monthly habits. In doing this I noticed I started getting sharper. I started thinking 1, 2, and 3 steps ahead because I would need to structure how my day would look like. I’ll show you my habits list. It serves me what I need to do today and I can see what’s up tomorrow without even scrolling. Since I started using Click Up it forced me to do a certain number of things when thinking about doing any task. I noticed I started asking myself is this a one-time thing, a recurring task or is this a task that is gonna require checkpoints and planning? Is this an idea? Does it cost money? Who do I need to involve? Do I need other people to make decisions or do I actively work on this with them? I started asking myself how important anything is and because of the way things are structured in the lists it’s also how I listen even to stories in conversations. They neatly go into layers of information. I became more conscious of how I spent my time. I had to really pinpoint time wasters and before I knew it it’s been a year and I don’t even have a Netflix subscription anymore because, for the first time in my life, I can honestly say I am devoting myself to the person I hope to become. Next is integration. Click Up can take so many things including Gmail. This means right from inside my task I can just click on send email and it’ll do that even on the free account. They aren’t at this point the 1 app to replace them all yet but I believe they’re trying. Also ClickUp support is absolutely amazing. Think about all the value they’ve given me and not once did I ever pay. They continue to give support and advice if I have questions on integrations. The ability to relate tasks together is just mind-blowing. Dependencies, milestones, and relationships are a gamechanger. Ok, hear me out. Let’s say you have a project that has 2 phases and those 2 phases are broken down into a ton of other tasks that have something to do with other things. Click Up makes it so that you can choose to trigger dependencies. You can’t start other tasks until you move the prerequisites. You can’t skip. Lastly is automation. ClickUp has triggers and automations within itself so for example, I started doing something but I didn’t finish it cos I had to attend to something else. If I change the status to updated or change made I can automate it so that it goes to its own list that contains only things I need to go back to so that I can make sure nothing is forgotten. I can trigger automation to move any task to move to a different priority depending on deadline. I can automatically change status to in progress when I track time. Now this is just at the personal level use I can just imagine how those who use this for day-in, day-out collaboration would feel like.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

1. I wish it could do things that money tracking apps can do as well for example withdraw from an account when a transaction is triggered without the account being tagged as a task itself. Think the app blue coins. 2. I can't attach a recurring task to a goal. Thus habit building can be better. I can't look at my calendar and just see a dot per habit built 3. Calendar view doesn't have an option to appear like blocks - for example I can't label a part of the day as personal and another part as work 4. No WhatsApp integration 5. I can't make columns smaller on list view 6. I can't have a numerical goal and have it move depending on the sum or progress of tasks on a list. For example you have a savings goal and a list of days and amounts assigned to save. Once that list is done you would still need to update the goal. 7. No voice and screen recording on the desktop app. 8. Integrations. I wish there was a way to have my health or wearables connected and have it track information related to a goal. 9. There are notes app that allows a calendar view that has a photo per calendar. Let's say a journal and then that view on the month at a glance I can see already what days have photos to it. 10. I can't attach a recurring task to a goal. For example do something 100 times. It won't count it. I also can't track how many times a recurring task was already completed without counting it by myself.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

It gives me the mental space I need to properly go about my life and segregate different areas with goals and I can plan the rest of my day because of them. I can also make sure to relate things and tie things together even for tasks I'm not in charge of I can help move them along. I can see how my life quantifiably because of time tracking. It's almost the software or app I use the most. Overall I love Click Up. While I do have feedback they're still the best out there and I'm sure of it.

"Excited and determined to learn and effectively use the tools offered on ClickUp."
What do you like best about ClickUp?

I like the versatility and multiple options to view and interact with the information in different ways. I feel like ClickUp has accomplished something others have not when it comes to displaying tasks and data.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I do not like how lonely it feels on the platform. As exciting as it is to use the platform, there's a sense of feeling lost and overwhelmed when using the different views. You almost feel like you're not doing enough to use the platform and get your money's worth. In other words, the price point is more than fair for the number of quality tools you offer, but often I find myself using only one aspect of ClickUp, or only working from one perspective. Later feeling ashamed for purchasing such a large tool and only needing to use a small portion of it.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

The attractiveness and organizational capabilities the tool offers allow our team to just throw information out there and refine it into whatever task management model we need the information to reflect. We work with over 30 clients, but we have under 10 employees. So it is a huge benefit to have all of these client tasks in the same but all modeled in different flows and task structures based on the type of work we are doing for them.

"Incredibly robust, well documented, and adaptable tool for project management."
What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp has an incredible number of features and the data is structured in a way that it can generally be pivoted and displayed to match any workflow. Theoretically, there are no business processes that couldn't be somehow adapted to fit within it as the central tool to run our business. Specifically, it functions best as a project management application, competing with Asana and Trello with more features and flexibility for a more attractive price. I personally love the tool and many in my company have gotten significant value from it. The pricing model provided a low barrier to entry to get our core users on board and give the rest of the company visibility.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

ClickUp went through a phase of adding an incredible number of incredibly useful new features to their core use-case (operational efficiency) in a short period of time. I was in awe of how much they were adding and it was very high value-add. Unfortunately, this added a significant amount of tech debt, and they spent most of the past year trying to resolve performance issues and bugs that emerged as opposed to continuing to iterate on those use cases. The features they have released, have been more focused on expanding their footprint as the one-tool-to-rule-them-all (screen recording, mind mapping, etc) or expanding their ability to monetize users (adding a much-requested feature, but squeezing it into a new pricing tier between tier 2 and tier 3). The wide footprint of the application makes it so that it can almost support all our business needs, but each of our processes needs to be tweaked slightly to fit in it. Ideally, ClickUp would have spent this development time closing the product gaps in their core use case so that we don't need to change our business processes to match the tool, but it can adapt to us. For example, we can't replace Google Forms or Survey Monkey for Clickup Forms, because basic conditional logic isn't supported; meanwhile, they're pouring a ton of time into developing a whiteboarding feature to replace Miro (because they plan to eventually monetize it). I appreciate their need to monetize new features, but I haven't been able to get my company to transition to Clickup as the single source of truth because too many departments need adjust current processes to fit the tool.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cross-functional collaboration, project management, product road mapping, operational process efficiency and general shared visibility were the key problems we were solving. We have seen greater visibility and communication, but primarily for those projects that fit the use case very well (cross-functional projects, with a project manager, than have tasks/dates/owners/etc).

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

Pricing Structure: ClickUp's pricing structure has been a point of contention for some users. The different pricing tiers and the associated costs can be confusing, especially for smaller teams or individuals who may not require all the advanced features offered.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping on top of due dates and tasks to be completed. We don't use many of the more advanced features.

"Wonderful tool with a million features!"
What do you like best about ClickUp?

As a Scrum Master, I feel that ClickUp is a marvelous tool for any Agile marketing teams out there. We have biweekly sprint planning sessions, and using ClickUp makes getting through them a breeze. Custom views can be created at all levels -- for an individual list (we use these to separate business lines within our team), for an entire folder (which we use for a view of all the areas of our team). At the folder level, during grooming, I filter by all items due in the coming two weeks and then we can go through them and groom them. ClickUp allows for custom fields so that any details that are relevant across the board on a task can be filled in. This allows us to keep tasks organized by their values in the custom fields. The templates are also a powerful tool. For example, a marketing email has similar requirements each time that are all important to remember, like content writing, proofing and editing, art creation, list generation, audience segmentation, legal review, layout, approvals and revisions, etc. So that no important tasks are missed, we have created a template for this and for other types of similar tasks that have many steps to remember. When working with external teams at our organization, we are also able to take tasks that they might have on a list, even if it is organized in a completely different way, and add it to our own sprint list. For anyone who wants to keep a pulse on the productivity of individual team contributors, there is a feature to track by sprint points or by time, or simply by task count. In this type of view, it's easy to see who is overextended and who has the capacity to help others.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

The one piece of negative feedback I heard at implementation was that there were actually too many features. The interface seemed overwhelming to some on my team because we came from a competitor's platform (Asana), which is much more pared down. But as the weeks went by and the team became accustomed to the new tool, they came to appreciate that having more features means they have more abilities to change their filtered views, group tasks, and stay organized. This is no longer feedback that I hear because the team now sees the value. One other piece of negative feedback is that there can sometimes be a bit of system latency. I appreciate that ClickUp has a website dedicated to transparently reporting any reported outages. These are uncommon, but we appreciate knowing if delays are sometimes caused by something major. A few months ago, there was a ClickUp update that resolved much of the latency, so now this is not really an issue. I have also noticed that they respond to suggestions for improvements in the message forums. There was even one suggestion that I made that some months later was implemented, and then they messaged me to let me know. That was amazing service!

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp allows us to have full visibility into what the members of our team do each day. This doesn't mean micromanaging; rather, it means an even distribution of workload and collaboration. We are also able to know what projects the team is spending the most time on and prioritizing, and this allows for on-demand reporting to higher management when asked how we're allocating resources. Even more importantly, this helps us know if we can realistically say yes to the oftentimes "urgent" and "last minute" requests that trickle in from all areas of the organization. We're able to look at their ask and then show them our capacity, and this creates an environment for open conversation and negotiation regarding timelines and requirements. Speaking of asks from external departments, rather than all members receiving assignments via email, chat, or verbally, we direct that everyone use an intake form that was designed using ClickUp. Then we have the requests fielded and assigned by one owner. There are a dozen people on our team, so cutting down on any email clutter is a win. Plus, this prevents duplication of efforts because there's transparency in ClickUp (unlike email, since only the sender and recipient know what is happening).

"Great Project Management Tool"
What do you like best about ClickUp?

My favorite features are the ability to set dependencies for tasks, the ability to filter out the tasks that are just relevant to me and what I need to work on, and the ability to see what everyone is working on. Our group was using Trello before, and I find that ClickUp has more versatility.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

I dislike the pricing for educational groups. I am the adviser of a high school newspaper and we started using ClickUp this year, instead of Trello. When I contacted ClickUp for pricing on using the premium features, the cost was over $4,000 because we have a staff of almost 100. We would have been able to afford a few hundred dollars, but we can’t afford $4,000. Non-profits raise money for their cause and also for operational costs, something that most educational groups can’t do. I think ClickUp should reconsider its education group pricing or offer educational groups some of the premium features for a way lower price than the current structure.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ability to set up different folders and lists within those folders is helping us be more organized with our tasks. The ability to see tasks with comments and checklists that are just assigned to me, allows us to cut through the noise of everything and just see what needs to be done right now.

"ClickUp is a great business tool for any type of data!"
What do you like best about ClickUp?

As a web developer and entrepreneur building business and tracking various types of data, information and tasks in one platform helps build systems to stay ahead in a growing business! From tracking projects and expenses to thoughts and ideas making the most of ClickUp and it's tools is a game changer!

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

ClickUp at times gives the appearance that it is limited in what can be done purely because everything is seen as a task when it could be any type of data. While this is just the terminology it feels like it then doesn't fit for the data you are trying to structure. For example if you are tracking your expenses then it's an expense item not a task. The ability to lable the items in a list as something else it would help users feel less boxed in.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp solves the problem of having several online tools to track and plan different types of data. I use ClickUp to track all aspects of my business and the projects and products I am building!
