I feel great confidence in storing passwords for our whole company in Dashlane. I also like that the VPN is included. The sharing feature is easy with individuals or groups as well.
Sometimes the autofill feature doesn't work as well but I've noticed that on some sites it all of a sudden starts to work so I can tell they are improving. The mobile app could be improved in terms of suggesting/generating passwords on mobile. There's a lot of clicks to do that and I wish it was as easy as it was on the desktop.
Keeping passwords secure, removing access when someone leaves, and having a built-in VPN.
- easy give employees access to shared accounts - easy remove users and there access
- sometimes it looks like it takes a while before a shared password is found in the app
Sharing passwords and notes with employees.
Easy to share passwords between groups. Also very handy to have an authenticator inside the application. Mobile applications works very well to (iPhone user). Came from LastPass but never heard any leak from Dashlane!
When you want to remove an password which is shared with you by only group you need to share the item with yourself, than remove the share with the group and then remove the password. Thats not possible in bulk so sometimes it takes a lot of time to cleanup some passwords.
We have many passwords for business use and Dashlane is great when wanting to share your passwords internal. Also its easy use when you want to share some passwords with job titles like servicedesk, and you dont want them to see all the passwords which are only available for the engineers.
Sharing and revoking password access is great and essential for business/employer/employee use. The password search and browser plugins and phone app are great. Overall this is the best password manager I've ever used (I've tried 3 other major ones before finding Dashlane).
Sometimes duplicates password/logins are created. I think this is a glitch that will hopefully improve over time. Sometimes password/logins go missing or seem to be removed, which has caused us business disruption. I think this too is a glitch and hope it gets better over time as well (doesn't happen as frequently, but is quite alarming when it does). I wish there were a password/login compare tool to help safely cleanup my password/login library/list. I wish there were a way to display longer names, for example "America Frist C.U. - Bill's personal" vs "America First C.U. - Bill's business" vs "America Frist C.U. - Bill's Secure e-mail". Right now all three of these login/password names just appear as "America Frist C.U. - Bill". You have to either hover over each one or open each one in order to distinguish which is which. My previous password manager didn't have this issue.
Ability to share a password with an employee. Terminate that employee and remove that employee's password access at the same time.
Speed of setting up and security of the platform.
No way to lock account if you leave your computer unlocked and walk away and PC is stolen.
Getting rid of paper trails of passwords laying around the office.
Browser based plugin which saves credentials automatically. Random Password generator which helps to create non-dictionary based alpha numeric password.
Categorization is removed from browser plugin. This was part of desktop app.
Dashlane helped us to maintain credentials in more secure way. Also, it provides a dashboard of password strength.
The Web app. It makes it simple to get your saved passwords and generate new passwords on the fly.
I don't like how the password suggestions sometimes cover up username and password fields on some web pages.
Password sharing between teams and the used password/compromised password checkers have been fabulous for us! Allows us to be proactive and make our environment safer.
Ease of implementation and ease of use. The solution dramatically simplified password management within our environment and eliminated the need to reset passwords to the 50+ accounts that I have to maintain.
End-user adoption can be a challenge within the organization if users are using spreadsheets or a browser-based password vault.
Dashlane improves end-user security while simplifying password management. The ability to audit password complexity and re-use for various accounts helps identify vulnerable accounts.
intuitive to help create and store passwords. I love that it helps suggest and create passwords for you. I love the option to store credit card information in there as well.
sometimes its autofill is not intuitive and gets in way when filling out forms. if it could ask you if you want to autofill before doing so that would be much better.
we are working on getting our employee base using this for everything to help secure all sites. so far finding it much easier to get around and logged into sites less lockouts.
The robust security that the software offers, especially when trying to reset a forgotten password
It automatically fills in passwords on websites.
We are instilling the importance of Secure password storage within the organization at a very affordable price.
Dashlane Business allows us to control access to our various partner portals from a central location, increasing security and saving us significant man-hours per year. The Business VPN service also allows our field agents to communicate securely without the need for internally managed infrastructure.
The online admin portal needs more granular management capabilities. For example, being able to sort users into access groups or security levels in the admin portal would be a huge benefit.
Dashlane Business prevents numerous password lockouts, saving our staff headaches and reducing the need for communication. We interface with many insurance carriers and software vendors, resulting in hundreds of credential sets for our staff. Dashlane keeps them from having to remember multiple passwords and de-incentivizes password reuse.
Dashlane is an exceptional password manager, that supports many operating systems and mobile devices, as well as integrates with my browser software quickly. The interface is user-friendly, so performing actions and configuration for new clients is effortless. Storing passwords and other credentials are secure due to robust encryption methods. It's equipped with a powerful password generator, that generates sophisticated passwords, that includes random letters, numbers and special characters. Security audits display a list of watchwords, that are overused and enables to change them quickly in one click. Besides, auto-fill feature facilities the process of accessing platforms securely and making payments.
The software doesn't synchronise immediately across many devices, but it doesn't seem to be a crucial issue. Besides, the built-in VPN feature isn't as reliable as other separated services. Process of sharing records with family and colleagues is not quite seamless.
Dashlane enables me to maintain my credentials, generate powerful and complex password and delete the ones, that are overused or weak. Besides, accessing websites is rapid and effortless due to the sophisticated autofill feature.
With Dashlane i don't have to struggle to remember the passwords that i use
If one doesn't update dashlane it may expire within some days
There is no issue of forgetting passwords
I especially like the integration between Dashlane and the browser (Chrome), both on desktop and on mobile. Centralizing all my password makes my life much easier. The interface is very clean and usable, the password generator and the auditing tool also work well.
Integration with Firefox causes crashes (apparently not due to Dashlane, but still an issue). On Windows, you might experience occasional hiccups. It seems that the desktop application consumes quite a lot of resources. Sometimes, you need to refresh the page in order to trigger the wizard. Not sure why this happens. Speed of the dashboard might be better, though. Some way of batch editing accounts would be a plus, but I understand this might undermine the security.
I don't need to remember my passwords anymore. I think a password manager is an absolut must-have for any businessman.
I love that the software syncs across all my devices. It is extremely helpful to have Dashlane auto save passwords on new sites, as well as recommend complex passwords you would be deterred from using normally.
I dislike that right now there is no auto generate password function without having it do so directly in the password box of a website. As opposed to the program having a password generator I can use for anything.
Great solution to have with multiple people in the office sharing logins etc... you can easily add or remove users access to anything.
Dashlane is a wonderful software that I can use to manage all of my different passwords and have access to them on my Mac and iPhone. Never again will I need to go through the process of changing a password that I have forgotten...because with Dashlane, I've got all my passwords in one area.
The only downfall is the cost of the premium Dashlane subscription. I'm not a fan of subscriptions....I would be way more apt to purchase an app at a premium than to pay a monthly or yearly subscription fee.
Being able to keep track of all my passwords has been a huge benefit. I group them by personal and work to help me organize them even better.
simplicity to share and admin. user interface
nothing maybe the responsive when you need to see your payment card
secure fast easy
Really easy to use and set up. Good and simple Passwords policies to setup.
Eager to get the multiple password changer.
Password Policies
The share and sync option. very important for us to share securely password from and admin account to other user and sync option when there are change in a password. The secure note are also very important
Some bug remaining (or ease of misuse by a user), when an admin change parameters/characteristics of a password form, for example : the URL, the title, the password, etc. If this password form is shared, most of the time the user can overwrite the changes made by the administrator. Fortunately there is a history it is quite easy to find the changes made by the administrator in order to restore the new characteristics of the Password sheet
We work with a lot of different platforms we need it important through a team to share passwords in complete safety and each person needs to be able in their Password Manager to put security note for a whole series of sensitive information to his work at the company
What I like best about Dashlane is its seamless way it integrates with our consulting company's workflows.
Sometimes the suggestion to fill a password shows on a screen in a way it's hard to decline it. it's problematic if for instance you don't want to use dashlane at this moment.
Dashlane is solving the critical issue of password management for our consulting company. With its robust features and strong encryption, it ensures that our team's sensitive data remains secure.
