The interface and UI is fantastic and really simple to pick up
Had issues with integrating with Magento and pulling all data through
Email marketing for ecommerce
The automation has a better graphic interface than its competitors, the customer service is excellent and definitively, it's a powerful tool even for email marketing and some marketing automation, which is always a quality of life improvement for us marketers,
The increasing costs once you pass a threshold is noticeable for small agencies or businesses that tend to return the value differently, especially the past year was a severe blow to some agencies and the cash flow was impacted badly. The price tiers start to remind me of those of Hubspot, and well, every marketer by now knows that equals a lot of spend in fees. I dislike the pricing getting expensive, not necessarily if you are growing as a business
The main one would be the email marketing, while the automation is used, after certain amount of actions ( automations) it starts to hinder the waller.
Most user friendly, easy to access NAD retrieve data NAD provides genuine leads
Unbale to access many features as we can see in others websites
Easy to get leads to rub my business and can share the info with many people at large
Really solid features for broadcast emails, creating campaigns, building workflows, and integrations.
Downtime. As much as I hate to admit it, there are a lot of times when I log into Drip and I can't see any stats for my email marketing because the server is down.
It seems to have a much better deliverability than Mailchimp once the domain is verified. It's quite easy to manage the templates and content of the email itself, including uploading images, GIFs and videos.
The automation tools are top shelf! With Drip you can do incredibly complex email marketing automations in very simple and accessible ways.
Customer support is at a sharp decline. Shorter support hours, fewer support options, and longer queue times for live chat. Should you choose to email your support request, expect to wait four to five business days for any type of reply.
Email Automation Revenue Tracking
The simplicity of the design and platform is fantastic. The ability for us to segment our list to the specific product and past purchases has been fantastic. Automations have been very helpful but are sometimes really hard to get set up correctly.
The actual triggers for the workflows are not very clear and not reliable. The email editor is very basic and it makes it difficult to generate really high-quality custom email templates. I don't think the triggers on our campaigns are very reliable and the workflow build is a bit confusing. You are never really sure what you'll get in the workflow.
We are using it to automate our e-commerce emails and abandon cart and recommended product flows. We wanted to have a very fast easy way to developed custom emails but the builder is not the best so we have struggled to do that and Drip has not fully solved that problem.
My favorite aspect of drip is the automatic workflows. Very easy to set up and integrate.
My least favorite part of drip is the lack of easy A/B testing of subject lines. Subjects are a crucial piece of copy to test, and it's disheartening that that is not as easy to test from drip.
Drip has done an amazing job of helping me easily collect emails and build a list of newsletter subscribers and potential buyers. I honestly could not have gotten the list collection aspect of my site off the ground without it.
I like the workflows, the simplicity of the platform, and the price point for what it is offered.
Some of the dashboards and graphics are not necessary. As someone who isnt in ecomm, the revenue per email is completely unnecessary.
I think having a platform that is easy to create emails with the level of tracking has helped create a more effective email campaign for me.
Automations and workflows are very customizable, and integration with products on Shopify is relatively easy.
It takes a long time to get used to using its more sophisticated features and automations, and I found I needed to think dofferently than normal to make the adjustment.
I have a much more detailed overlook of each subscriber/consumer than I have with competitor platforms.
I like how easy it is to integrate with my ecommerce site, and thus can become a powerful resource for communicating with my customers according to their behavior and interaction with my company.
I feel sort of lost getting started--it's hard to know where to begin. The system is super powerful, but to a newbie like myself with not a lot of monetary resources to throw at "experts," I find it almost overwhelming. There is a FB forum which is helpful for realtime advice, but it does seem like most of the users work for someone else and are already way above my level. Hopefully I'll catch on soon! I hope Drip will continue offering webinars and workflows for those of us who need help.
I anticipate being able to increase my customer satisfaction by communicating on a more personalized level with my customers. I like that I can analyze behaviors and track orders, etc, all in one place.
I like how visual the interface is. Made it easy to figure out what I was doing.
There seemed to be quirks / glitches that required support.
Taking a prospect list and putting them through a sales funnel.
I use drip because it is straight forward and does what I want it to do: automated Marketing emails to my customer base. the pros: - It works well with the rest of my marketing stack, mainly using Zapier to connect everything. - simple UX - good customer support - deliverabilty: no problems I would recommend to tool to anyone who is looking for a straight forward tool with good value for money.
Customer support is good, but could sometimes be faster (guess the timezone might be a problem here). The form integration (e.g. using WPForms) is not als flexible as we would like it.
automated Marketing/lifecycle emails
I love the workflows that allow me to see the big picture for my email nurture sequences. It really helps me to map out the process for taking my customer from initial contact to the sales email.
Drip has so many features it's not great for beginners. I would prefer a drag 'n drop style builder for the emails to make them easier to meet my design aesthetic. The great news is that Drip has a FANTASTIC support team who are amazing at pointing you at the right resources or walking you through specific solutions for you.
Creating amazing personalization and automation in my email nurture sequences. I really signed up for the workflows and the ability to personalize and Drip has definitely delivered on those aspects. I think I'm only using a fraction of its capability but I look forward to learning more in the future.
I love how powerful Drip is. Once you get the hang of it, it's soooo easy to use! It has incredible list culling and pruning features, as well as tagging, and trigger links. Plus setting up new forms and opt-ins was a breeze. The visual funnel and automation builder was the best! Drip also has some of the BEST customer service ever! Their technicians are so thorough, patient, and helpful. They stayed on chat with me for as long as it took to solve my problem and always followed up with me via email.
At first, it took some getting used to, so it's not the best tool for people who don't have patience with software. Some of the features are difficult to find, and it isn't the prettiest looking of all the options. The thing I had the most trouble with was timely emails. Sometimes the send time was so delayed. A problem that I'm told they're fixing.
It made it really easy to have a robust tool that any business could easily grow into. Drip was my first software after Mailchimp, and it showed me the light! After Drip I could never go back to something so clunky as Mailchimp, I don't care how cute their graphics and branding is. Drip is a robust tool for people who need room for their business to grow. It's great for people who are in it for the long-haul.
Integrations with other platforms, user interface is very good.
If you are used to spray-and-pray email practices, Drip can be a challenge because it forces you to rethink that approach. That's not a reason to dislike the product – it just means that depending on how savvy you are, you might struggle at first
I never thought drip marketing would work but was drowning in sending out personalized emails. Now some of my communications are automated which saves me a lot of time.
They clearly have built this product with their particular customers in mind. There are certain features that other email providers do not offer, and in drip they're incredibly straightforward and easy to use. For example, I haven't seen website behavior triggers in a product at this price. Usually you need one of the big providers, or a quality API to do some of what Drip does out of the box.
Same--they built the product with their customers in mind, which means that there are other features (like pretty responsive email templates) that they just don't have.
Marketing automation without using a developer, quickly building rule-based customer journeys, and their tagging system that makes segmentation extremely easy.
I like the tone of Drip, cheeky, contemporary and refreshing. The layout was also very easy to navigate, modern and fun. Overall, I like it in theory but struggled to apply its use best in practice. I love the suggested drip email sequences, wish there was more of these for different business purposes! I also liked the detailed analytics of each email. I also appreciate how you automatically updated the policy based on new laws which saved me from looking up what these legal changes mean for email marketing!
the terminology, for example, the difference between tags, events, flows etc. I never knew what to use when. I watched the tutorials but struggled to apply it to my business. It would have been great to have a one to one session with an expert to personalise this further. It would have been great to include some tips on increasing open rates based on googles suggestions so I can be sure it's more likely to land in someone's inbox.
I'm solving CRM email outreach to my community. It was helpful to be able to tag users and to see how long they had been subscribed and what emails were being opened. This helped me curate the content to their needs. This is something I will always integrate into future campaigns.
Simplicity - interface (coming from aweber/activecampaign). LIke the email editor. (aweber was an abomination).
It's probably me - but difficulty setting up more campaign/trigger flows. I've watched some of the videos, but get confused on some of the if/then flows. So the good stuff :)
Capture, segment and campaign to list segments. Tracking web visitors to optin rates was a nice surprise. Wasn't on my radar when I signed up.
The customization-to-the-single-receiver capabilities are excellent.
Expensive for a small business (I'm paying 50$ for 105 emails).
I can automate email campaigns and fully customize their content based to the needs of the single user.
It has made sending email campaigns better. It has made life easier after the initial set up.
Getting my lists approved at times. Lack of options to customize the emails. Customer service has been pretty hit or miss. It can be really helpful and quick or kind of slow and not helpful at all. I told one customer service rep about the difficulties I was having and he offered directions for me to cancel my account.
A server than can send 50 or more emails at once and also more than 300 emails in an hour. Mainly saving time.
