"Declining satisfaction for what was once my favorite CRM"
What do you like best about Insightly CRM?

Insightly scales pretty well. It was/is a great starter CRM for small business with a low barrier to entry and a friendly starting price. It has a clean design with an interface that is easy to pick up. Another good feature is that it plays well with other third-party tools like QuickBooks, MailChimp, etc.

What do you dislike about Insightly CRM?

Support is not great. It is a lot of self serve on the web with fairly generic answers to generic questions. Video tutorials are pretty good but, again, they are generic and may not apply to your situation. Insightly has also moved more and more toward higher monetization per client. That means that you will wind up spending significant money as your usage increases, even for the basic CRM. Insightly has also become VERY aggressive in trying to sell/require their Marketing platform as a requirement for CRM. While it is not a requirement, they push it at every turn and in response to just about any support/service question. Paired with that is a heavy push to require a service called a 'Success Plan'. This is a quarterly/yearly service charge with an assigned account manager that is supposed to help you get the most out of your tools. That didn't exist when I originally onboarded Insightly. Back then, they were simply focused on making a great CRM that could be easily right-sized for your business. Now, I've had them tell me to my face that they don't want anyone using the platform without a Success Plan in place. I've actually purchased both the Marketing (3x the annual cost of the CRM) and the Success Plan (about the same as my CRM). The net is that I went from a reasonable cost to 5x cost in the space of a year. The jury is still out on whether the Marketing side is worth it. My experience so far with the Success Plan has been very low value. Each meeting is just me telling them what I am doing and them presenting some new service that I can pay more for. Overall, Insightly is a functional CRM that could really be best in class if they wanted to. Instead, they seem to be losing their way under the banner of higher margins. I have gone from being a strong promoter of Insightly to all my contacts looking for a good platform to being just another user. I don't go out of my way to recommend them anymore. If you are looking, I would suggest you look at Insightly but keep a very open search for other, possibly better, solutions.

What problems is Insightly CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Insightly CRM, like any CRM, provides a repository for all of your Organization, Contact, and Opportunity information. As a small company it allows us a good way to ensure information is not lost or squirreled away in other locations or when someone leaves the company. Insightly is pretty easy to use which means that it is easy to onboard someone and give them a complete look and access to their customers without heavy training.

"good product! "
What do you like best about Insightly CRM?

I absolutely love the to-do list. It makes it so much easier to assign tasks to my employees. I always prefer to have tasks written down to verbal tasks, so this program helps so much in that aspect. I also really like the clean, efficient look to this program. It makes it very easy to use and is not as cluttered as other similar programs. I loved the training videos that helped my employees learn the ins and outs of the program. The fact that there is tech support readily available is also a plus. I hate having only email or only phone support available, but Insightly has both!

What do you dislike about Insightly CRM?

t's rather pricey. The free version does not provide all of the features that make this product worthwhile over the competitors'. To get all of the features, you have to pay more, which makes sense, just not for small business owners. The fact that a higher plan is required to forward emails is a big minus. It's something that almost all businesses need but paying the amount for the professional version is not necessarily a cost that can be justified. I believe that if this program were a little bit less expensive it would be more useful for small and new businesses.

What problems is Insightly CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

I like this program. I really do. I mean, that to-do list is so handy not only in theory but also in practice. The features make the program so easy to use and the fact that there is support on hand to explain any issues that the training videos did not cover is such a big bonus. We've had times during training where we were unsure of the functions, but one quick call to support cleared everything up. We feel like pros! However, the cost almost negates the good features. We are a small business and it's difficult to justify the cost when there are so many cheaper or free CRMs available. Maybe they'll come out with a small business version that isn't quite as expensive but has the features you need to run your day-to-day tasks.

"Good CRM for the pricepoint"
What do you like best about Insightly CRM?

Insightly is a good CRM for the price point. The workflow is decent, it offers customizable features and training resources. I also enjoy the UI and overall look and feel.

What do you dislike about Insightly CRM?

I feel Insightly is lacking in a few areas, that more enterprise solutions seem to offer. One thing our team has noticed is that if you convert a lead into an opportunity, there is no "back button." This can be cumbersome if someone accidentally completes an action that they were not supposed to do.

What problems is Insightly CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Insightly is definitely helping our team manage our business development workflow.

"Insightly is a cost efficient CRM"
What do you like best about Insightly CRM?

Insightly is a cost efficient alternative to high priced popular CRMs. It's price point and bare-bones setup are its key benefits

What do you dislike about Insightly CRM?

It can be a bit clunky to use at times. While the autofill searches are great, they sometimes don't work. At times there database takes a while to sync, and entries won't show up immediately.

What problems is Insightly CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to use insightly effectively to track leads and returning customers. Insightly makes it easy to prepare email lists and various marketing lists across different segments and different stage of our sales funnel.

"Limited support, lacking features, overpriced"
What do you like best about Insightly CRM?

For smaller firms, this used to be a simple but effective platform that had the features needed to be successful. Being able to get a team up and going, make changes to the system and get data into and out of the system was great.

What do you dislike about Insightly CRM?

We've been with Insightly for 8 years at this point, I don't think many of the reviews have ever used the product. For us, our usage hasn't changed but our price has tripled and support has been completely removed. The company seems to have focused on building very average marketing tech and making a huge fuss about a product for integration rather than just integrating their base product. I'd not recommend to anyone to use Insightly as a CRM, the costing is about the same as more full featured and supported CRMs with far fewer functions, interoperability and marketing features. Some examples of our frustrations: - During export & reporting, you cannot export opportunity owner names, only email addresses and user ID numbers, making reports more frustrating - Nothing integrates with Insightly, not one single sales enablement, marketing automation, email marketing or advertising platform has a native Insightly integration, it is all custom work - There is no support through the platform, you must sign up to a separate support plan that puts the cost of Insightly beyond Hubspot and Salesforce together - During renewal conversations, our sales rep missed our call, didn't respond to requests for another Save yourself the frustration and get a different platform

What problems is Insightly CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fills the basic features of a CRM relatively well, but definitely with limitations outlined above. The system is easy to create new fields and access for our team would be the best things.

"Insightly CRM Review"
What do you like best about Insightly CRM?

Google Apps integration and Fee of Charge initial plan.

What do you dislike about Insightly CRM?

The mobile app feels a little clunky at times.

What problems is Insightly CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping track of projects, leads and sales opportunities is managed in a very professional way with minimal time. When starting ad running a business time is so precious and Insightly has enabled us to leave reporting and sales forecasting to the platform whilst we concentrate on growing our business. As sales opportunities become orders and turn into projects Insightly continues to allow us to track what's happening and sales time in management. Collaboration is so simple at all levels of the customer experience. We love Insightly.

"Was great for years, then they flipped to a Hubspotty model"
What do you like best about Insightly CRM?

Easy to use interface with many options on how you can navigate to the different features. It works for google brains best.

What do you dislike about Insightly CRM?

They did an awesome job updating and adding features, and then they started to charge the hell out of everyone completely blowing past the price points that were appropriate for their customers. I have put more than 30 clients into Insightly and my value as a partner was light to none.

What problems is Insightly CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?

It was a great product for clients that are 100,000-500,000 in revenue. They were able to easily streamline and understand the program.
