It's obviously a best in class email marketing tool. It's recently made strides in its SMS capabilities. And, it's also a great way to store and filter your customer data. It integrates will all of the major platforms and even provides a solid API for custom integrations. Their CSM's are also amazing to work with.
SMS isn't quite as easy to build on as Attentive, but it's getting there. And, push notifications for mobile apps (ex. Tapcart) only work for iOS, not Android. Customer lists/segments cold also have more filters.
Klaviyo is the centerpiece for executing our retention strategy. It allows us to create, visualize, and understand our customer's journeys with our brands. Outside of email, sms, and push notifications, we integrate our other tools' email flows (loyalty, reviews, returns, transactional messages, etc.). Performance reporting is also very clear so we always know how certain initiatives are performing.
The versatility! We've been enjoying the data rich analytics and easy email builder for automations and scheduled campaigns. It's much smarter than constant contact.
I wish I could link collections from my Shopify store into email campaigns. Right now it's just products that fully integrate through Shopify. I'm sure they'll release this soon.
Klaviyo allows us to send email campaigns based on real time data from our online store, build emails for mobile and desktop, and prove ROI exceptionally well.
User friendly interface and solid analytics.
The customer support could be better but not often you need them in the first place.
Klaviyo helps with all legal requirements in marketing sends.
Klaviyo makes the most of a company's efforts. I especially like toggling between mobile and desktop to ensure emails look their best.
Onboarding took a bit longer than hoped.
Streamlining email marketing.
In my old role, I was accustomed to a competitor's system. Klaviyo was an easy transition, with more capability. Very pleased.
I have no complaints. I enjoy the system.
We send out multiple emails each month for different purposes for our client base. Klaviyo makes these easy to design.
Analytics and reporting, ease of editing, and we very specifically like the feature to suggest products to our customers based on behavior.
I still create blocks in a design program to import and use. I do wish there was a way to create a "template" and drop images specifically formatted into. I understand that is cumbersome, and no one else offers this feature, either.
Personalized recommendations to reach customers who have previously engaged. This, in turn, creates higher conversions that we would have otherwise.
User interface is simple if you're familiar with CMS interfaces. Terrific options for extensibility with other services (Attentive, Shopify, etc). Great customer support.
Some of the UI navigation is a little clunky. Analytics are available but require quite a bit of legwork in order to build the reports/dashboards that are ideal for your business.
Having a unified tool that works with our other tools in order to provide a consistent face to our brand, while maintaining a library of our own templates for use as well as the intuitive flow automations to allow for terrific remarketing, has allowed us to act as though we are a much larger organization, and focus our efforts on other tasks without needing to micromanage our email strategy.
Klaviyo has an easy-to-use interface and is a very cost-effective ESP compared to other pricing solutions.
I wish our customer success manager was more hands-on and strategic with her ideas and efforts.
Marketing automation with dynamic work flows.
Very easy interface, straightforward segmentations and flows.
Reporting - wish it was a bit more clear
Klaviyo sends our email campaigns & flows out, driving a majority of our bottom funnel conversions.
one of the best ESP. Great automation and easy platform.
Not many issues. Sometimes we come across bugs but it's rare.
helps with repeat orders
Very user friendly. The drag and drop feature makes it very easy to design our own emails with minimal graphic design experience. Also love how easy it is to create an automated flow.
I wish their Back in stock flow was easier to set up. We are not able to send back in stock notifications for specific sizes (child sku), it's only at the high level (Parent sku).
The ease of putting together our emails and automated email flows without the need of a graphic design team. We are also able to personalize emails and create personalized customer journeys.
I will be honest, we've moved onto Braze but for the years I used Klaviyo, I think it was great. The automated flows, ease of use, segmentation and data ingestion was great.
The ability to get super granular with the customizations and ability to do a ML based canvas approach to campaigns.. That was pretty much it.
As I mentioned before, Klaviyo is great for automations, data ingestion/management/segmentation, and relative ease of use. It is a supercharged step up from mailchimp and two companies under out umbrella still use it.
Segmentation, the tracking ability and also the flows.
pricing. The pricing model which was changed to is a lot more than what we used to pay before.
customer reach out and commnication.
I like that Klayvio provides both transactional and marketing emails and texts for our customer communications. It makes things easy as a developer. You integrate the events into your app and then the marketing team and others can use the interface to create any flow they want to communicate with the customer. There is a lot of flexibility. Also having profiles with all the communication in one place is critical to providing customers with a great experience throughout our application.
The only downside right now is that the service doesn't include desktop notifications. If it had that then this would be the only communication service you would need for your app.
Klayvio solves our need for marketing and application notification automation. Using Klavyio for all this makes it easy on the team to integrate as well as the team to market and create automated flows of what's sent and when.
I like how I can see the performance of all my campaigns and monitor who reads it
Some features are a bit confusing and very difficult to navigate especially for first timers
It helps us communicate the news and promotions faster to all of our customers.
I like the interface of the klaviyo platform
I don't this like anything from the platform
klaviyo help me with my email marketing
We are one of the hundreds of health/ sexual wellness companies whose ads are blacklisted or banned- thus, the performance or cost of acquiring a customer on paid ads continuously changes, building our baseline and returning customer business through klaviyo has helped us stabilize and grow.
setting up logic and flows for segmenting. reporting feels like it could be simplified for users who aren't as analytic. huge amounts of the audience are not receiving the emails. would love real-time support for optimizing how I segment.
driving revenue, communicating with customers or potential customers.
They allow you to run your email and SMS in one place, which makes strategy across those two channels so much more cohesive. Not to mention the ability to segment customers to ensure you can personalize messaging based on specific interests, purchase history, etc.
Their SMS solution is still a work in progress, but they move quickly and are gaining speed daily.
They have a myriad of solutions, but I am most familiar with their email and SMS capabilities. Their tools are purpose built for ecommerce, which is the world I work in, and we have been beyond impressed with their offerings.
Klaviyo has everything an ecommerce business owner needs to drive more revenue with email. The segmentation is powerful, the analytics are in-depth, the email creation process is very user-friendly, the support is second to none, the integrations are robust, and way more. Other email service providers may have a lot of features, but they're prioritized for newsletters, services, SaaS, and other categories. Klaviyo was specifically built for ecommerce, which means the small details were designed for the needs of an ecommerce business. For example, Klaviyo makes it really easy to target customers based on specific actions they make in your store, such as site abandonment. Most other ESPs don't even have that as an option, let alone make it easy to implement. Long story short, you can do more revenue-driving emails with Klaviyo than you can with other ESPs.
There is a slight learning curve at the beginning, but it's pretty easy to use after you start sending campaigns. Once you get the hang of the UI, it becomes one of the most intuitive ESPs out there.
Klaviyo was built specifically for ecommerce brands. As the owner of an ecommerce email marketing agency and an ecommerce business, Klaviyo helps me drive more revenue for every category or industry I can get into with as little stress as possible.
I find Klaviyo really intuitive and easy to use. It's a platform I think both novices to email marketing and those who are total pros would appreciate - easy enough to start using "out of the box" but with many opportunities for optimization/more complicated set-ups. Compared to other ESPs, Klaviyo is SO much faster with running segments and loading reports. It connects to all the other vendors/programs I use seamlessly. You don't need to have a heavy tech background to set up logic or workflows, like you may find in other ESPs. When others in eComm are seeking ESP recommendations, Klaviyo is always the first I suggest!
Klaviyo is great about taking feedback and making edits as needed. Currently, I just have small things that would be "nice to haves." For example, I love their Drag and Drop editor but think there could be room to allow some more personalization/code to further personalize sends (without just making it full HTML), or when selecting items for logic/filters I wish it was easier to multi-select things. I imagine some of that may be improved upon in future updates, though!
Klaviyo allows me to automate parts of the communication process, allowing us to meet the customer exactly where they are in their journey with us. We can also easily see what is and isn't working in our email campaigns.
