Liquid Web makes managed hosting really easy. I've never had any downtime in the over 3 years of use and the service comes with both Cpanel and WHM. Whether you're a power user or prefer a GUI to manage hosting, Liquid Web offers both options.
There isn't anything I really dislike. I do wish the service integrated better with Let's Encrypt but certificates can be generated manually.
Liquid Web provides a faster hosting options with maximum uptime. We switched from 1&1 and the difference between the two is night and day.
Tech support is quick to respond and help with any issues my company is facing
Navigation is not always clear and easy to find what I am looking for.
The biggest problem they solved for us is giving us a solution for a reputable and secure server that will keep our website from being compromised.
Tech support is outstanding. I don't have a ton of support requests because things are running in tip top shape, but staying PCI compliant is a constantly moving target and we have to run scans and make updates every three months or more. Whether support is for a client's account that was hacked, firewall issues, email, upgrades, special installations, etc - I haven't had anyone give up and issues are solved quickly with thorough answers to all my questions. There seems to be good communication between team members if a ticket isn't yet resolved when one person's shift comes to an end. I've dealt with a lot of hosting companies over 16 years, and Liquid Web has it together.
Sometimes there is a delay in answering tech support emails during high volume times, but it's acceptable for the level of service. They do answer the phone and chat support if you're having an emergency issue.
I have a dedicated server for all my web clients - and Liquid Web is in charge of it. They do a great job at uptime, reliability, speed, communication and support. I have the peace of mind their sites are on a reliable platform, and make money selling that service.
The number one thing that stands out to me is the professional, 24-7 support. And I don't mean you fill out a ticket and wait 24-48 hours. You have access to instant chat with knowledgeable professionals IN THE UNITED STATES that quickly solves whatever issues you have. Their support is second to none, and that is why as far as I'm concerned there is no other web hosting company out there that can hold a candle to Liquid Web in terms of quality and support.
Nothing at all to dislike, and I mean NOTHING! I'm telling you, these guys are good and they stand behind their product. It's not the "cheapest" but it is not the most expensive. For the quality support and product they offer - they are right on the money in terms of price.
As a small web firm providing hosting for my clients I started out going the "unlimited everything" route with the "cheap" providers. Boy was that a mistake. Downtime on sites almost every week, constant calls from my clients, and just tons of headaches. Not so with Liquid Web. Now I've got peace of mind. Peace knowing that my sites are going to be up in the morning and peace knowing that if something happens I've got a U.S. tech on the phone in minutes solving my problem.
I cannot rave enough about their support. Almost everyone I've spoken too on their team is knowledgeable and helpful. Their hold times are incredibly short. I've rarely had to wait more than a minute to get someone on the phone, and most of the time they pick up before I even go to hold. I've even had members of their support team take the time to show me what they are doing with a shared shell screen or walk me through what they are doing.
Every once in a while I find an issue that's specialized enough that they cannot help me, but they can't specialize in everything. They are so good overall, that I can't even call this a complaint.
Offloading site support and gaining lots of additional expertise and reliability. Reasonable pricing saves money over similar services.
I think setting up and managing all the different aspects of a website hosting account can be tricky and tiresome sometimes. The control panel in Liquid Web makes most of the tasks involved easier to deal with since the menu items and tools are basically designed to be straightforward. There isn't too much complex technical language used, so I can read descriptions of various tools and understand what to do with them.
I haven't experienced anything significant that I disliked about the web hosting product, but I think figuring out certain configuration settings that are ideal for our website installations and structure can be confusing at times, even with the online information and customer support resources.
We can use Liquid Web for straightforward uploads of HTML pages with basic coding and more involved setups with WordPress that include lots of plugins and database items. We use Liquid Web to host many of our web-related files, which are very secure in a password-protected environment. We haven't had any malware issues and have had mostly fast loading times for all of our web pages.
Liquid Web is on the ball with support. I appreciate that very much. I've hosted with multiple companies and their support is the best yet. That means everything in this for me. My livelihood is in my websites and their uptime. It helps to know they have my back every single time I need it.
They are priced more than other hosting companies, but the support and lack of headaches is worth it. I wish they were a bit more competitive with pricing though.
Faster website. Better support. More clarity on my digital assets.
The ease and performance of the platform is quite good than competitors. Also, the sales and support levels are great with easy to switch over mechanism, which is quite overwhelming.
When you've some other 3rd party solutions in place, then we've observed a slight greater to-and-fro and efforts in making them understand the issue and resolve it. However, when everything is at their end then the resolution is more easily.
Solutions availability and quick support for resolution, if that happens sometime.
I trust Liquidweb as my provider of hosting and email for all of my clients. They are very responsive, transparent and I know someone is there to answer my questions 24 x 7. There is nothing more I can say other than keep up the great work Liquidweb!
There is always room for growth. Not really a dislike because they are constantly pooling us for enhancements and working on them one by one.
Liquidweb provides me with hosting and email solutions that I can trust to put my clients on. All I have to do is focus on my code.
Their service is by far one of the best. However it isn't as good as it was when I started with them. in 2016 their customer service seemed to slip, longer hold times, longer response times, less helpful techs etc.
Billing is sometimes hard to undersand, their control panel overall can be difficult to navigate. Also somethings like setting up a VPN can be more difficult.
I have seen consistent performance out of their server minimal downtime and very nice techs to help out. I'm very happy with their service compared to others. I would recommend their services to just about anyone.
I've been with Liquid Web/Storm on Demand's managed servers for more than a decade now. I love that their managed servers can be taken care of by them (such as for PHP Updates), but I still have the ability to make changes to the server myself. A lot of servers lock you out of the ability to make changes to things like the blacklist, other security settings, PHP settings, etc. Their servers are easy to optimize for Drupal and CiviCRM, which makes it a first choice for me when it comes to hosting.
Sometimes if you are on a problem server (such as one where a hard drive is starting to go out, but not throwing warnings yet), it can be difficult to move.
With this we were able to set up a server where we could have many installations of Drupal and CiviCRM without it impacting the performance of each site. This allows us to offer low priced hosting to our clients as well as a cheap place for us to use for our "sandbox".
I just moved all my websites from a shared host to LW VPS and I have to say I've been thoroughly impressed! Management of my account, WHM, cPanel, etc has been a breeze. The BEST feature is their outstanding support. Not only can I jump on an chat and get someone within a minute, but the support techs are very knowledgeable and friendly and have always been able to resolve my issue. One of the reasons I left a shared hosting environment is that most these popular hosting companies support staff doesn't even understand what advice they are giving. I felt I knew more than they so how would they be able to help? LW support techs are awesome and super knowledgeable.
I'm still in the honeymoon phase so, I really haven't found anything I dislike other than the upgraded price tag (vs shared hosting).
Not provided
I like professional support to solve problems and improvements of the system, backup in safe storage and automatic backup to avoid system disaster and user practice.
All tools work perfect, I have no complaints about it.
Web data storage for application support, high performance server to support high requests and connected users interacting simultaneously.
The support staff at Liquid Web is available 24 hours every day. Wait time is usually very short or non-existent (I usually use the live chat and not calling on the phone). The support staff are always friendly and courteous and will stay on the case until your issue is solved.
Customer web interface could be updated, more user-friendly and aesthetically appealing.
We host all of our web properties here for a reasonable price.
Liquid Web gives us a viable alternative to AWS and other cloud services. They are reliable and responsive and I used them across multiple businesses.
Don't dislike too much. Haven't had problems.
LW's Managed Hosting gives me the benefit of a Virtual Private Server but more service than the better known cloud services. It has enabled me/us to devise, create and deploy a web solution quickly and efficiently.
LiquidWeb has seemed to really pick up these past few years. They have taken on our projects and been able to deal with all of our support requests, and their support team actually knows what they are doing!
Their website isn't very intuitive and it seems like I have to click 50 buttons to get into the Cloud Site Hosting, which seems a bit ridiculous.
HIPAA Compliant Servers, Cloud Shared Hosting, VPS.
We didn't choose Liquid Web, they bought out our previous host. They managed the transistion better than anticipated and were quick to solve for any issues.
They haven't clearly communicated the value or improvements to their services.
Web hosting for multiple websites.
24/7 chat and phone support with real people who don't try to sell you something every contact point.
It's pricey for sure - not the cheapest option.
I am using VPS for wordpress sites to speed them up and get them to rank better in google. Support is important to me as competitors have been wasting my time.
I have hosted with 10 different companies and so far Liquid Web has the most responsive customer service.
The interface is a little dated and overall the servers are slower than top tier hosting like AWS
No real apparent problems, they take customer service seriously which is great.
