User interface is super easy to use and clear to understand. Creating an account was the easiest thing in the world. Lovely to use it every single day
Can't really point out anything. Maybe be more clear on the limits of Debt as we got caught in the middle of things changing
Quick creation of account Easy to use on a daily basis
Mercury is a simple online banking option for early stage startups. It's been seamless to transact, examine expenses, and pay bills. Highly recommend!
Would be nice to have a credit card option in the future.
Helping simplify cost and admin for early stage company banking.
easy to open an account.................
limited phisical cards for partners of the company and no cards for emploeeys.
international company looking to have a bank account in another country.
Great experience so far with the service
Cutting more than 60% of available credit even after depositing money over 60k
Operations banking and credit
Sending money, getting money, or reviewing transactions is easy. Most of my operations revolve around those three
The fees when exchanging currencies. I feel they are too high.
We opened our account through stripe's atlas. We are now physically present in the USA, but as a foreign founders startup, it was really helpful
It was easy to set up an account with Mercury and is easy to set up additional accounts.
Mercury makes it really hard to track and view incoming transfers. We have had so many problems with this and its caused huge issues with our clients. Mercury never seems to want to help us solve the issues much.
Needing a digital bank account and not being able to travel to the US to open one.
It was relatively easy to get set up and started.
1. Poorly thought out transition to new payment provider. They canceled physical debit cards prior to distributing new ones, canceled virtual cards and replaced the numbers, forcing us to change payment setup with every vendor. 2. Virtually no customer support. We have an international wire that was sent nearly two weeks ago to us. Our client had it traced and it has been received by Mercury. Emails from customer support indicate that there is an issue, they hope that our funds will be deposited eventually, someday. They have become completely unreliable as a way to receive funds from clients and pay vendors - kind of what a bank is expected to do... Update: they provided me with a provisional credit while the issues with inbound wire transfers get sorted out. I still have serious concerns about their reliability, so I can't recommend them, but it is only fair to acknowledge their efforts to deal with their wire transfer issue.
To be honest, Mercury is causing more problems than it is solving. After Mercury issued new debit card numbers, I still have at least 30 vendors left that I need to update payment info for, but it doesn't really matter because I can't get access to wire payments from my clients and I can't talk to anyone to find out what the issue is, so I can't pay the vendors anyway.
The webite is good. Kudos to the developers for keeping good UX in the front of their minds when designing and deploying. But that's where my pros end for Mercury. The services they offer are no different than literally any other bank around. And the one thing I really need them to do, which is process deposits in a timely fashion, is absolutely terrible. And they just don't really care, based on my conversations with their customer service (when I was finally able to reach someone)
Wait times for deposits are impossibly slow. We're talking at least 7 business days, or 10 days in normal parlance. And these aren't weird deposits, either. These are regular and recurring payments made by my clients. I'm going to have to look for another bank. The wait times are also getting worse. Customer service does not help.
The problems that Mercury purports to solve, mainly easy-to-use business banking, are simply not addressed. I feel that there are better options out there, so how exactly is Mercury contributing to the startup world by offering an inferior financial product?
Simplicity, ease of use, I like that I can download the data. Also, that it has a treasury fund where I can invest my excess liquidity and get a return in the meanwhil
I don't like that when wires are too big, it takes a long time to process. Also, it doesn't give me a reason why it's taking long to process. Also, withdrawing money from the treasury fun takes too long.
The problem being solved is that of a modern bank where I can create users and assign roles in a simple way without going through tons of paperwork. Also, it's easy to analyZE DATA
The ux/ui that the bank offers in all of their platforms. Super easy to find things. Works really well
Sometimes is a little stuck when the app ask you for the security code in the login.
Access to a bank and habe credit cards for our expenses in the company
The UI is very nice, the features are just what I need for my startup banking needs
Had some issues with features like bill pay being able to attach documents, and some features seem like early. Looking forward to the platform evolving more.
Easy banking, quick and somple UI. Seem to be innovating over the horrible bank websites that exist.
Incredible interface and is very intuitive for the user.
Nothing really. Have never had any issues using the product!
Makes it way easier to track team spends and assign budgets
I love to use Mercury as a latam founder. Easy to use, they understand our legal structures and sending money to Mexico is charge free. IMercury is the best partner.
Probably how fast we receive our physical cards. I understand they are internationally delivered, but would love to have them delivered quicker. That's the only thing I dislike
Bank account and receiving founding and expense management. I'm an international founder and having a traditional US bank account its difficult so Mercury helps on that
Investor introductions Continuous knowledge share and value add Good design Strong community focus
Nothing, absolutely nothing the product works well
Making banking enjoyable
I can reach out to their team and get a swift answer. The platform is also extremely easy to use.
Nothing so far, it gets the job done. They are doing a great job
I use them as my company bank account
The support team response and great User experience using their app and web platform.
Not much. Great service and constant learning from their clients
Having a reliable bank in the US (being based in Argentina) that we can trust, have a fluid communication and with friendly usage in all senses that other traditional banks were not able to provide
Easy onboarding, amazing interface and most important is their team.
There is some commission on exchanging different currencies. But still it is ok for me.
Getting paid from customers and paying money to employees.
Seamless UI, easy to understand and transact.
Nothing as such, it works pretty well for us.
Helpful for US Banking solutions.
Mercury provides the easy of use we come to expect from modern services, not what you get from a typical bank. Everything is online, fast. Banking and essential services are free. Saves our small communicty non-profit a ton of money and pain
The mobile app could use some improvements.
Banking, receiving and sending payments
Mercury has great solutions for so many of our needs: cash mgmt, free payment methods (incl wires), great perks, and a great user experience
Somewhat low check deposit and wire limits for new accounts requiring manual process to get higher limits approved.
Digital banking for all our banking needs as a startup
