Ease of use, and all CPAs and Bookkeepers know how to use it.
Has reporting limitations, and shipping limitations.
Serial # tracking is great, as well as the easy learning curve for new users.
The handling of the software is user-friendly.
I dislike how the operations sometimes freezes during a task.
We are solving basic business problems related to payroll and expenses. Benefits to this software is that it is trusted by many businesses and it's user-friendly.
QuickBooks is easy to learn and use. The invoicing and bank reconciliation functions are what I like best.
The lack of audit functions is a downside to the program.
Invoicing for many different types of services and products is made simple in Quickbooks.
I really like how you can see everything from the home page. Makes everything really simple to get to, from the start of opening the program. I also really like the "Find" tab at the top left corner, especially the advanced search option. Makes it super easy to find detailed material.
I am not a big fan having to worry about getting kicked off the program, due to the "maxed out number of licenses" being used during the day. Literally only 4-5 people can be on the program at once, especially when we all need it.
I work for a lens company that sends and receives all different types of lens parts, pieces, etc, The benefits are that this program has everything I need in one program: Purchase orders, invoices, etc.
Compared to the Desktop and Desktop Premier versions, QB Enterprise reporting functionality and capabilities are vastly superior. QB Enterprise allows easy reporting by employee in a manner that was previously very difficult. This is critical in a not-for-profit environment because of the reporting requirements to allocate expenses between program, management, and fundraising expenses in order to prepare the statement of functional expenses.
I disliked that the software does not automatically account for the revenues and expenses from fundraising events or auctions correctly. Instead, the user of the software must make manual journal entries to account for the special not-for-profit accounting treatment for these types of events.
QuickBooks Enterprise is an excellent solution for not-for-profits with multiple donor restricted revenues and assets that require careful accounting. The platform is able to scale up to probably around the $10M annual revenue range before a more robust software solution would be necessary. I found that although QB Enterprise was not necessarily designed with not-for-profits in mind it certainly is very useful compared to the previous versions of QuickBooks or even software that is designed specifically for small not-for-profit organizations.
The program has great reports, a nice user interface and is easy to use.
Sometimes it is hard to customize reports into financial statements that look professional.
This allows you to combine all the parts of the business in one place.
I like that, with a few minutes of training, I am able to get the basic information that I need. Now that I've had more QuickBooks training, I feel more confident in my skills. It is fairly intuitive.
It's very easy to become disorganized. We have several duplicate customers in our system which makes things difficult to track.
A/R has been easier to track through this software.
- Easy to use - It developed over time, so you can hire a bookkeeper with 10 years of experience using the software - Integrates with CRM software - Has customizable templates for collection letters, invoices, etc.
- It is quite expensive and you have to buy a whole new package every year.
Accounts receivable. I found the integrated functions related to past due accounts and the templates as being very useful. Using the templates for sending "Collection letters" really helps in collecting the money.
Very easy to start up and use out of the box.
Not much flexibility for custom set ups or unique industries. User does not have to be aware of behind the scenes work and is therefore less aware.
Quick and easy standard reports are prepared without much setup. Users without much experience are able to input data.
The reports for the management team and for the sales
some features are too simple, such as reports for sales based on different items.
for accounting
Quickbooks Enterprise offers a user friendly, comprehensive accounting system. It's great for small startups or smaller companies that can be easily tailored to their needs and the complexity of their business.
Quickbooks loses its benefits when scaling the company up and the accounting system needs to be better integrated with the operational aspects of the company.
The benefits of Quickbooks comes from the help with the initial setup and the ease of importing a few transactions into the accounting system. It solves the problem of very basis financials and allows for tend spotting, GL detailed analysis, and basic record keeping.
Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise is a great tool for a sales company to keep track of finances and inventory. The ability to keep track of finances with minimal people is very useful. The ability to manage inventory at multiple sites comes in very handy.
The addons are a bit lacking and it is very resource hungry for the machines. If you let the program do what it wants with RAM it can use up to 16GB from what I have seen so far. Also, It is lacking in the ability to mark a whole vendor for a discount vs a on product or all product approach (from what I understand).
QuickBooks solves the problem of keeping track of money and inventory while also letting us pay bills from there. It is easy for our sales guys to create quotes and estimates for customers quickly and get paid.
Invoice tracking-due date and real time are helpful tools
Integration with some other software is hitchy. This may not be the fault of quickbooks.
Tracking customer invoices and payments
This app allows you to navigate the area very easily.
I hate doing quickbooks, but this makes it fun and easy.
I don't see any issues.
I like the ease, simplicity, and ability to customize reports. The Quickbooks payroll system allows us to produce manual checks and run payroll ourselves vs. using a third-party payroll service.
In today's day in age, most platforms are cloud-based. Unfortunately, our Quickbooks is a desktop service and not cloud-based. So you are not able to access it unless you are using a computer that has it installed. There is also is not easy access to customer service when you need assistance.
This is used to process payroll and maintain employee data. Our company also uses it for inventory, accounting including invoicing, etc. It is the main platform used company-wide.
Control over who has access, easily manage on premise servers
lots of overhead and maintenance, requires IT resources
Payroll, accounting. Easily manage accounts and budgets
The interface is user friendly and data searches are very fast . Software is up to date and matches quality of competition
Organization of the Accounts can be better and the linking of accounts to 3rd parties as well
I am able to categorize my expenses much quicker than our previous method..
It is quick and easy to use. You can keep track of all invoicing, outstanding invoices, past due invoices as well as manage vendor bills, employee pay and taxes.
The customer service isn't always the most helpful. They are more concerned with up-selling you then fixing the issue
Keeping track of outstanding invoices, billing clients monthly and paying employees. I am able to better understand my businesses finances and it helps my accountant come tax time.
Quick transaction entry- even a non- accountant can use it very easily for accounting purpose for simple business operation
As you get bigger and the operation gets complex, you are bound to shift a system which can automatically apply standards and complex accounting requirements
Organizing accounting transactions
the simplicity of it all. very clean overall.
the restrictions on some small details.
keeping our accounting easy and simple
