The ease and simplicity of managing 'seemingly' difficult tasks for senior citizens like me whose tech skills need much to be desired. One example is adding the transitions between scenes, which I struggled with all the other programs and apps that I had tried out since starting my YT channel in early 2022. I was ready to pay for any platform that would provide me with the kind of transitions that I find so critical in making a video look professional. And as soon as I tried it out on Veed, it didn't take me a minute to grab their subscription offer.
There are only a few minor improvements that I would recommend, which would be 'good to have' but they are not critical in ensuring that you can get an excellent output of your video editing through Veed. One of them was actually already addressed by Veed in one of their very recent updates, which is the 'Resizing for social media' feature. I was missing this feature earlier and had to convert my long videos into the shorter versions manually. One area that I would recommend technical improvement in, is their manual subtitles section. In case I need to add English subtitles for a video in another language, their manual subtitles feature does not work as smoothly as expected. The timelines overlap and it sometimes does not allow to insert them manually and sticks to what has been set by the system already.
The BIGGEST problem for me was to save my time in editing my YouTube videos, so that I could manage my main business of online career coaching. The last program that I used for my video editing was SHOTCUT. But compared to SHOTCUT, using Veed has reduced the average time by around 60% for me. Add to it the quality output of my videos, which has more than doubled by using Veed - The Transitions, the attractive variety of Subtitle styles, and of course downloading the final result in 4k or HD.
The best thing about VEED is the ease us of use. You have a pretty robust video editor that you can use pretty much eveyrwhere and tell your story to the world. It can do pretty much everything that you need to create a video at a basic level, like cropping clips, resizing, putting audio and text and subtitles; and then you have the AI tools which can take it to a whole new level.
I sereiously wish the VEED had the option of changing the playback speed to faster, which will come handy when you are reviewing the subtitles; unfortunately they do not have it yet and it is irritating for me who has to do a lot of work on subtitles. Then it doesn't have the monthly subscription plans to offer in India , but that is more to do with indian governmet regulations than VEED. Also I wish that from the dashboard page, I could right click on the projects and open them in a separate tab or separate window; currently I am unable to do that and it requires a lot of clicks and page visits if i need to check a few projects in a row.
The first major problem that it solves for me is the subtitles; the auto-generated subtitles are pretty accurate and require very little input from my end. And hte second problem that it solves for me is that I don't really need carry my video-editing machine everywhere. I can use pretty much any computer and create content on it.
It's not overwhelming with a ton of bells and whistles and advanced features. Support is fairly quick to answer and they try to be as helpful as possible.
The new AI features like eye contact and magic cut still need so further development as things are a little wonky with eye size and the magic cut cutting out parts of sentences that you actually want in. It does help out a lot in the entire editing process.
It's providing me a way to quickly use ai based video tools and to help me edit quicker than if I had to edit video second by second. I am using it to upload my loom videos and then edit them down.
It's faily easy to create videos with slides and audio.
i wish it did a better job to linking videos and audios. Meaning, if I upload 5 images and 5 audio clips, I wish it would adjust the images to the length of the audio clips. Versus right now I have to manually do that. I wish there were more transition options.
I want to create a course with slides and videos. This is doing that for me fairly easily
I really like the shareable link after exporting a video as this allows you to share your work among various people on different devices without taking up file space. Auto subtitle feature works really well, very helpful and effcient. The implementation of AI features is deffo a faveourite of mine, the green screen tool comes very handy and i find myself exporting videos from Adobe into Veed as this tool works so well. I really appreocate how close the team at Veed work with their users, to esnure there exprience expectations are met, customer servce, video conference calls are all greatly appreciated. Everyone seems so lovley who I have chat with.elp
Due to the software being browser orientated, lag is inevitable when edtiting long form videos, however the lag is what stops me from editing my whole videos within the platform as the buffering when pausing and playing leads to incrorrect cuts and elongates the process.
Upon my video conference with Sam from Veed, we spoke about how the auto subtitles could be improved by keeping a directory of words which users would like the preogram to automaticly amend, ensuring the process of subtitle proofing is up to speed and as efficent as possible.
The AI Features helps me to be able to produce content faster than ever before. I can get AI to those manual things which used to cost me hours but now they are as simple as just clicking a button. Apart from this, the UI is easy to use and it is a rewarding experience to get on a paid plan and utlize its full capabilities.
Some of the features which you expect to be a part of the starter paid plan are not there. They are in higher tiers. I would really appreciate if more features would be accessible in the starting tier.
I read my script while recording videos, its AI feature corrects my eye contact and this makes me feel free to record however I like because VEED will fix it. Apart from this, Motion graphics help me to produce content for social media at a very fast rate.
The versatility and tools for the platform to create a wide variety of video content.
Sometimes if you are editing a project with multiple assets like external music and video, the audio doesn't synch up correctly in the export.
It solves the problem of creating short-form video content without having to use a platform editor or expensive editing software.
I find Veed very easy to use, it allows you to make professional-looking videos and add in subtitles, etc as needed and chop and move around chunks of video making retakes a lot easier - no troublesome re setting up of the camera - just keep on rolling then chop it out!!
Sometimes the upload speed can be a little slow, and I do find the process of exporting very slow - however, as the finished items are good quality it is worth the wait.
Veed allows me to create Reels and add subtitles to Lives very easily and to make a professional-looking video in a few simple steps. I find the drag and drop elements help to speed up my editing.
It's easy-to-use and also has lots of ways to easily layer on top text, images, and other graphics
Resizing elements is a bit tricky. I'd really like it if images etc. would "snap" together so you could easily align elements on the canvas
We're able to edit videos in-house to a pretty good standard, rather than paying for expensive software or hiring a freelancers.

Like most, I started using Veed for their outstanding subtitle capabilities. The longer using the platform it has become a staple in my video editing. Although, I use adobe tools for large video productions, Veed is my go to for creating quick and effective videos. The templates are easily updated to my needs. The interface is refreshing, visually clean and the timeline is unique. VEED is simplifying the process of video making by giving tons of features to automate the process and take help for AI tools
Veed.io has been a game-changer in my video editing journey, offering an intuitive, user-friendly interface that significantly streamlines my workflow. The standout feature for me is its remarkable subtitle and captioning tool, which is not only accurate but also saves a tremendous amount of time. Additionally, the array of video effects and the ease of trimming and splitting videos are incredibly helpful for creating professional-looking content without needing extensive editing skills. The cloud-based platform ensures that my projects are accessible from anywhere, which is a huge plus for someone always on the go.
However, Veed.io isn't without its drawbacks. The most notable issue I've encountered is the limitation in the free version, particularly in terms of video length and watermarking. While I understand the need for these restrictions, they can be a bit stifling for users who are just starting out and not ready to commit to a subscription. Additionally, I've experienced occasional lags and glitches, especially with larger files, which can be frustrating when working on time-sensitive projects. Lastly, while Veed offers a range of features, it still lacks some advanced editing capabilities that more seasoned video editors might look for.
As a Senior Video Editor, VEED addresses several specific challenges in my workflow, offering distinct benefits: Efficient Subtitling and Captioning: One of the biggest advantages of VEED is its automated subtitling feature. This saves me a considerable amount of time, especially when working on projects that require accessibility features. It's far more efficient than manually transcribing or syncing subtitles. Streamlined Collaboration: With VEED being cloud-based, it's easier to collaborate with team members, regardless of their location. We can work on projects simultaneously or hand off tasks seamlessly, which is a significant improvement over more traditional, localized editing setups. Quick Edits and Revisions: For projects that require rapid turnaround, such as social media content or short promotional videos, VEED's straightforward editing tools allow me to make quick edits and revisions without the complexity of more advanced software. This agility is crucial in meeting tight deadlines. User-Friendly Interface for Team Members: Not all members of my team are experienced video editors. VEED's intuitive and user-friendly interface makes it easier for them to contribute to video projects, ensuring a more inclusive and collaborative work environment. Cost-Effective Solution: VEED offers a more budget-friendly alternative to high-end video editing software. This is particularly beneficial for smaller projects where advanced features are not necessary, helping to manage the department's budget more effectively. Remote Work Flexibility: The ability to access and edit projects from any location is a significant advantage, especially in scenarios where remote work is necessary. This flexibility has been invaluable in maintaining productivity regardless of physical location. Reduced Dependence on High-End Hardware: Since VEED is cloud-based, it doesn't require high-end computing power to handle video editing tasks. This reduces the need for expensive hardware upgrades and allows for a more diverse range of devices to be used for editing.
The time it saves by doing the automatic subtitles.
It is sometimes harder to edit long videos
Time taken to do subtitles manually.

subtitle generation that otherwise would take a lot of time
Its user-friendly interface and ease of use, make it accessible to people like me who don't have extensive experience with video editing.
Since VEED.io is cloud-based software, it relies on a stable internet connection, sometimes I face editing problems. There was some problems in the past and customer support isn't much helpful either.
VEED.io saves me hours, thanks to the caption generation feature.
