Calendly is very versatile, it allowed me to streamline my workflow and save HOURS of manually booking clients, checking available times, etc. It's just a very good service. Is it one of it's kind? No. But among the many booking systems I've tried, it's the most functional and easiest to use (both for me and our customers). The sms and email notifications are great and FREE! The design is very modern and pleasant to use. I really like the different types of events one can set up and an amazing feature is having one-time links for certain bookings. For example, when our prices change but we have some customers who are granted keeping their current rate, I can have a hidden event with that previous price, then create a one-time link to send them to book their appointment with that price instead of handing out discount codes that may be shared or abused. All in all, it's a very well rounded system.
I dislike not being able to do multiple bookings at once, at the present date this feature is not yet available (09/2020). I've checked the support site and they are working on this feature, I hope it's out soon!
We are using Calendly to book paid appointments, we offer therapy and counseling to couples. Our appointments are not sales pitches, but the actual product, so Calendly is directly responsible for our revenue. We use the Stripe integration to charge our customers and it works like a charm, simple and short.
Where should I start with? Let's put it like that, if it wasn't for Calendly, I would not be able to schedule 50% of the meetings that are bringing the cash for our organization. We're an SMB shop and efficiency is key to what we're doing. Like all SMBs we're operating within the scope of the very tight budget, yet we needed to optimize our demo scheduling process. After we've found Calendly, we were able to achieve the goal. And honestly, I don't want to go back to the old dark days when prospects were tearing us apart and the team here felt like our time doesn't really belong to us, and we are no longer in control of our own schedule.
The pricing is a challenge, especially during these times. I'd be even happier if they provided discounts to SMBs during the pandemic. A great example is MR (Marcomrobot.com) - they did not charge us a single penny.
Benefits- your calendar belongs to you finally Drawbacks - pricing
Calendly is helpful for those who aren't the best at calendar management, checking their email, or scheduling overall.
Pricing scales up pretty quickly, so from a financial perspective I'm not sure it's worth the small convenience of scheduling for the cost.
Calendly helps those with busy schedules and poor calendar management to schedule and accept meetings automatically
Calendly helps you save time planning meetings. Instead of going back and forth in email about everyone's availability, you can let contacts know when you are available and when you are not. Calendly syncs all my calendars and enables people to book a time on my calendar that I am available. I can customize the landing page and booking request form to meet my various needs. I can let people select what type of meetings they can book with me, ask the necessary questions to prepare for the meeting, and it will integrate with my Zoom account to create a conference call and add it to the calendar.
The pricing for the paid Pro Plan is $12/user/month. It includes a lot of features and integrations but I wish that more features were included in the free plan. The subscription cost can easily add up, and may not be worth it to most users. For large teams that may need this service, the expense of this platform can really add up quick.
Meeting scheduling is much easier. People can see when I am available, book a time, and then Calendly will send automated reminders to the person to remind them of our upcoming meeting and what to do if they need to reschedule. This saves me time from having to write emails to confirm the appointment.
From the free version through each level of paid, Calendly is a robust, value-priced, and easy-to-use software for businesses to start with and scale. Support to resolve questions was excellent as well!
It's hard to find the downside. Even the free version is robust.
easy links to send for scheduling, auto-adding zoom to meetings, multiple types of events, and we can make multiple availability schedules to link different event types to. Makes setting up appointments easy for me, my clients, and my network!
Application works pretty well. Helps me share my calendar with customers.
UI isn't very intuitive. If I want to see someone's calendar availability, I want to see it just like I do in Outlook. But Calendly makes you click multiple times to get there and only shows you one day at a time. You have to click all around to find an open slot. And it should show the calendar page, not a bunch of boxes. For pro version, the pricing makes little sense. I have to pay as much for a single seat in Calendly as I do for an Office365 Business Pro seat - for which I get Outlook, Exchange, and the entire Office suite. Really? Calendly supports multiple calendars - but very poorly. And if you have 3 email addresses for your personal account, they force you to pay for a full seat for each. Now you're 3X the price of the full Office suite. And the technical implementation is very poor.
Sharing my business calendar with external customers.
The site's UI/UX is straightforward to understand. Creating my colleague's calendar availability was easy and took a short time to set up. We also like the price of Calendly - the annual price is great and value for money.
It lacks the robustness of some other calendar and scheduling platforms. Calendly was a great solution for our start up at the beginning, but as time went on and our business needs started to evolve, Calendly could not provide us with all the tools we needed. An example of this is the inability to schedule appointments for multiple locations.
We are using it to schedule appointments for customers. These appointments were made online but conducted in person, face to face. Having used it for three years, it was an integral part of our business workflow.
I love the time-saving automation. Being able to set it up to send out reminders, thank-yous, etc., is invaluable.
I wish there was an option for seasonal users like me. I don't mind paying for the service when it gets used regularly, but 6-7 months of the year, it's only used sporadically. Remembering to go in and "cancel" the paid subscription and then restart it again when needed is not helpful.
When clients need to schedule an appointment, all they need is the link. I don't need to do lots of emails back and forth to find a time that works for us both. Plus, the automated reminders and the follow-up thank-you add the personal touch that makes clients feel appreciated and valued. I'm able to set my schedule in Calendly, link it to my Google Calendar, connect it to my Zoom account for video meetings, and I don't need to hire someone to manage my schedule for me. It saves me so much time! Also, the app on my phone is absolutely amazing! I can adjust my schedule, share the link, check my schedule, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. Calendly makes it all so easy!
