Really nice people work there and have got to know many of them when attending conferences they put on and have invited me to. They also have a great office environment, if you ever have the opportunity to visit one of their offices, or even work for them, great environment and people.
Unfortunately a lot. Pricing is a big thing. I know, you think their prices are great, but compare what you get for the price with competitors and in most cases there is no comparison. Support is ok, but not great. They have several levels of support and you always are sent to level 1 which can only do basic stuff. Anything more advanced has to be escalated. But at level 1 you have to be careful. We've had at least 2 occasions where the support rep completely disabled a client website and was offline for a full business day and other occasions where the rep just didn't understand or would not admit it was a Godaddy issue (which it was every time). They don't like to admit when they are wrong or it's their fault. The customer control panel is buggy and clunky and at least once or twice a week would have issues that caused me not to be able to renew a domain, update DNS or transfer a domain. They are now (finally) in beta with a new control panel, but it's still 'clunky' and the UI (design) is not the best for me. Everything is so BIG and spaced out and often slow to load (funny for a hosting company!), where I prefer everything to be neat, tightly laid out and fast. Also, as of the last few years, we have to pay to get discounted pricing on domains, regardless of volume, new policy. Because of all these issues, I've been moving all our domains to a competitor which by the way doesn't charge for the privilege of discounting and give discounts based on volume, which we do, and have a very clean, fast and very responsive and fast support.
We have been a customer with Godaddy for 15 years and are grateful for their help with our domain registrations. We have grown our portfolio with Godaddy and have been able to buy and sell domains through their system.
In my opinion, GoDaddy is one of the ideal places to buy your domain name at very reasonable prices. It offers domain names of great extensions at cost-effective rates if you are a new user who is looking for a domain from Godaddy then must look for some good discount coupons available on the net and you can save a little extra money for yourself.
The sole thing does not like regarding Godaddy would be that the renewal costs of the domains, as well as web hosting packages, is slightly high, so continuing with Godaddy is a bit difficult after one year.
By using Godaddy, we are able to get website names at good prices as they offer regular discount coupons for buying their products and It actually assists us just to save a few amount for us. In the end, saving bucks is equivalent to earning money. Furthermore, GoDaddy is straightforward to utilize and incorporates along with another hosting panel easily.
Honestly, they're support is beyond amazing. I haven't had to call often, but whenever I need to speak with a sales rep or tech support, not only are they more than willing to help me with my problem, they go above to make sure it's resolved. I love the convenience for having all of my clients' emails and hosting under one roof. I also rather enjoy how everything is pro-rated, so if you sign up for 3years of hosting to lock in a low price, but then after a year decide to bail, they refund you what you didn't use, pretty sweet.
I can't help but feel cheated every time "renewal" time rolls around. I know the company is more than willing to give it's new clients crazy discounts to get the im the door, but once you're in, the savings stop. They do offer bulk discounting, but it's nothing impressive and you have to lock-in for 5+ years. At the end of it all, I know the support is there for what I need, but I can't help but feel I'm being taken to the cleaners as far as hosting fees for both web and email. I know there are cheaper options out there with the same "up-time guarantee", but just don't know which direction to go to. GoDaddy CANNOT be the end all... can they?
I'm able to provide all of my clients with the proper hosting they need all under one roof. From hosting to email support, I know GoDaddy's got my back.
Transparency: GoDaddy is a company that values its customers. They are transparent with every detail of their services. Everything is made clear for the customers. This is not common with most of the hosting companies. I used to face extra charges whenever I used other hosting companies, I end up being charged for sitelock or any other service yet I wasn't in need of it. Customer Support: I love the 24/7 customer support offered by GoDaddy. It doesn’t matter the time of the day that I need an issue resolved. I always find professional and friendly customer support online to handle my cases. Great Packages: GoDaddy has packages for everyone. I can choose between Economy, Deluxe, Ultimate, and maximum packages that they offer. With this, I get to pay only for the services that I would need to get from the company. Every package also delivers exactly what they promise. Reliability: There is no other company that’s reliable than GoDaddy. When you buy their packages, you get huge storage and unlimited bandwidth. In short, with GoDaddy, your website will always be found online by your audience.
GoDaddy charges extra fees for some of the essential services. For instance, you have to pay for SSL certificates and backup. These are critical services that I feel GoDaddy should offer them to their customers for free. Just like other companies.
I use GoDaddy because of its transparency and reliability. I wouldn’t choose any other company.
The sign up process is basically simple and quick. I can find domains for all of the major extensions available today. The pricing is competitive and there are often promotional prices every month or so for new domain registrations. I like that GoDaddy has a domain discount club for people that plan to register many domains over time. That can boost cost savings even more. Linking my domain names with a GoDaddy account is basically instant and without errors. I can also go through a few simple steps to get the domains connected to hosting accounts at other hosting companies.
Many of the discounts aren't easy to renew. The customer support phone system has so many options that it can be confusing to get to the right department. Working with the domain control panel can be confusing when trying to manage domain names from external registrars. It's usually hit or miss for me when trying to add external domain names.
GoDaddy is a major process in establishing brand presence and outlets for information and automated customer service on the internet. It is extremely important for our domains to work properly with our hosting accounts and websites, and GoDaddy has been able to give us reliable registration services that can get us going quickly after new domain registrations with little to no downtime once we're rolling.
I like the GoDaddy account UI; it provides a good experience of easy navigation to important menus and usage. The quality of service, I never experienced difficulty handling my multiple hosting accounts; Godaddy Pro is another feature to integrate all of my client accounts and enable service expiry notification from one dashboard. Godaddy is the best option for beginners and experienced professionals. In all renewals we can get atleast 10 % discuount if you contact the godday guide via chat. Thanks to GoDaddy
SSL pricing, The price of an SSL certificate is too high in Godaddy; other providers provide certificates at 60% less cost. I expect Godaddy consider this feedback in comping years.
Hosting Godaddy provides quality hosting service; I have been a customer of GoDaddy for the last ten years. Lamp Hosting, Plex hosting, and .net applications hosting in windows Domain Purchase, It's easy to find and register your domain in less than five minutes. Godday provides up to 90 % discount on domain purchases if you buy for more than an year.
My favorite feature of GoDaddy Domains is how easy they make it to connect to your eCommerce platform. We acquired a couple domains from GoDaddy for a new business line we were launching along with a new eCommerce platform. Acquiring the domains and connecting them to our eCommerce platform could not have been easier. They had an automatic tool to complete it and we did not have to mess with any of the manual settings ourselves.
The pricing they offer is very competitive especially the initial acquisition, but the auto-renew doesn't keep the discounts. GoDaddy also charges an extra monthly fee to keep domain owner information private. It's understandable though and a worth the extra cost.
We are using GoDaddy Domains to acquire all our domains as we have not had any issues with them and enjoy the service they provide. GoDaddy makes is very simple to use and they communicate well throughout the process about renewing. It's really a set it and forget it type service that requires very little effort on our part.
The most helpful about Godaddy is that we can buy both domain names and web hosting from one place at affordable prices. Godaddy offers excellent discounts to new customers by offering discount coupons. Also, the customer support of Godaddy is good and available all the time. Control Panel given by Godaddy is simple and user-friendly.
The dislike about Godaddy is that their renewal cost of both Domain and web hosting is high and also they don't offer discount codes to their existing clients. They should offer discounts to their existing customer in order to retain them and prevent them from switching to another hosting registrar.
With the use of Godaddy, we purchased both domains and shared hosting from them, as Godaddy DNS quickly propagated which helps in making our site live quickly, and we can start promoting our business without wasting too much time on integration and other things. Godaddy helps in increasing the reach of our business to the world via the site created with this.
