I like how intuitive most features are. If you need a basic accounting system for your company, this is a good start.
I’m not a fan of the window system as too many windows open at the same time can become cluttered
I am purely reviewing the financial records of clients

I enjoy that QB memorizes journal entries that way with one letter i can find the account i want to use and saves time during my day. If QB didn't have this quality i think many people would be frustrated with the product.
I dislike that sometimes QB can't open up a workbook and I have to follow the steps to do it all over again and then works the second or third time that I try it works
I am trying to figure out why Qb balance is more than our bank statements right now and I keep undoing the monthly reconciliations but the benefit is that I can uncheck all checked transactions by undoing the monthly reconciliation.
I like you can merge vendors and use two monitors. I typically use two monitors. I like how you don't have to log off unless you set it that way.... Also you have better search options like for chart of accounts.
I still have issues (believe it or not) trying to create a sales invoice and having it paid so show has income!! Obviously, I need training on this. Yipes. I know it should be simple.
The reporting is easier now asking for cash vs accrual which the other program did not. It actually has great inventory abilities too.
This is a great accounting software for a smaller company that doesn't require many GL accounts and too much financial reporting.
At times it can get too bogged down and slow down quite a bit.
This has cleaned up accounting work done during month end, made financial reporting easier, and cash on hand more clearly visible at all times.
it's easy and intuitive to use and we use this software for all our international entities
the fact that you don't have as great of an audit trail as more sophisticated ERP softwares
Accounting for foreign entities separate from our main ERP. Ease of use from our contractors who have experience with Quick book financials
Easy to use and to find transactions once they are posted. Reconciling accounts is a breeze.
Nothing particlar, the program works well for our purposes
Watching the budget and checking balances. Can easily look at expenses and see what areas are ripe for savings.
"Purchase/Sales By Item Detail" reports. Also customer history & contact info is easy to access.
You can't customize your bill of materials very much, like you can do with a report. You can't change the format, which I need to do. So I've been using a customized "build assembly" form as my BOM. But it's annoying because to make the form, I have to actually build minimum 1 assembly. And then it's hard to find that form again when I need to print another copy. Also checking inventory amounts is a hassle. Customer transaction history should be more sortable and have more filters. Cost of items should have an optional field showing when it was last updated.
I use it to enter shipments, look up purchase and sales history.
Thr ability to consolidate financials of multiple company files is the single most important feature for our business.
The RDS Server hosted by Right Networks can be unreliable at times.
Faster, more efficient financial reporting. We have migrated invoicing over to qb as well.
I like that all the functions are simple to find and reports are easily found and generated. I can make a customer statement with just a right click which is much easier than our other system. Any payments put into Quickbooks can be altered which is wonderful if you somehow make a mistake.
To do certain things you have to be signed in as the admin and not a tag along underneath the admin.
We use it for our vendor payments and to input customer payments. We started using Acctivate along side it and it has been really handy writing back and forth.
I like the set-up of the interface, very easy to navigate.
Manually changing dates on bills and invoices.
Quickbooks Desktop allows us to streamline all 50 of our partnerships, especially using the memorized transactions.
Aging feature. Can keep track of credit sales easily
Difficult to figure out additional features
How to follow old and aging invoices
It has an automation function. It can automatically stream the financial transaction from bank account to form a financial statement. I like that function.
It is not all the bank that connect to Quickbook. My ICBC bank is not connected to Quickbook. That makes me inconvenient to work with Quickbook.
Accounting and Finance.
I like the user friendliness of this software. It is great for setting up multiple companies and as a tax preparation firm, that is a necessity. I also like the multi-user feature that allows more than one person to access and work in a single company's QuickBooks file at the same time.
Prior to purchasing QB Enterprise Desktop software, we would only renew our Quickbooks software every 3 years to maintain the support. When I initially purchased the Enterprise software, the sales agent failed to tell me that it was an annual subscription. Now I have to buy it every year!
I like having control over user permissions so that we can allow employees to access information necessary to do their job and be able to keep payroll information confidential at the same time.
It is a complete solution for the accounting needs of a company. Very easy to use and with great reports.
It is local. And the web based solution is too expensive.
I'm tracking the expenses, and the A/R. With that, I'm having a better understanding of where to get the best results for the company.
Quickbooks has ability to both import and export data. This is great when wanting to export reports to Excel and when wanting to upload content from a 3rd party program (ie, POS system) into Quickbooks to save yourself the manual entry.
I dislike the speed of Quickbooks -- at times it lags or freezes up. This is especially an issue when working with larger date ranges in reports.
Budget vs Actual and job costing has been solved when properly using Quickbooks
Able to keep accurate financial records to aid running my small business.
Quickbooks does not offer all the accounting processes used by professional accountants. Limited in areas such as the number of products you can list for inventory purposes.
Areas include accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll, inventory and invoices,
QuickBooks has everything you need for accounting, invoices, mileage tracking, payroll and more. But it also gives a marketer another area to announce new products, events, or other things your customers can sign up for!
Quickbooks is not very user friendly because all of the unique things you can do in quickbooks. It is not very intuitive to use and many tools in the software are hard to find. You need to be sure to have a pro walk you through the software in detail and show you all the unique and customizable things you can do within the software. The tools to customize the invoices is pretty old-school and could use an extra update to help make life easier.
Our company uses Quickbooks for accounts receivable and payables, invoices, payroll, mileage tracking, and so much more. Personally, I jump onto the the software for marketing use by adding customized invoice announcements.
I like that we can create separate companies under one program. I appreciate that it is easy and simple to use, I can have help with minimal training
I dislike that it can be slow at times. However, I feel like that might come from the way we have our server set up.
everything is under one umbrella and organized. Reports are easy to run and modify for our needs.
Quickbooks is a universally accepted accounting language that links with many other software packages. It makes our accounting quick and painless. Training is easy to come by for the program.
There are some clunky features. For example, tracking employee wages in multiple municipalities is very limited. We switched payroll to fix this, but still use QB for all other accounting functions.
Reporting is great-we can get excellent accounting reports.
