Building new things with Glide is so easy and the product looks beautiful. The team must have put lots of resources in the UI. Learning curve is short - if you've used any sheets, that's all one needs to get started.

I watched 100s of people try to save the app on their home page - somehow, it's never intuitive and if you're building a product for external users, that step could stand in the way of growth. It also doesn't offer SEO, which, again, is only a problem if you're targeting external users and want to be discovered in search.

Glide is making it easy to build beautiful apps with no code. You can use the product to build internal tools. I with Glide and Zapier you can create multi-vendor marketplace. You can build a shop or just a way to display your portfolio. Use cases are endless.

glide is a real no-code tool to quickly and easily create the tool you want to deploy on the web. I tested a lot of no code tools before making glide our main no code tool. glide is also very communicative and the team is constantly evolving features to meet the needs of no-code developers. Glide is a tool where you can take it in hand easily thanks to the visual interface. you can use google sheet, airtable as backend database.

there are not many possibilities for customizing the interface you are going to create. you cannot yet use several databases at the same time. you cannot yet integrate a script to integrate a chat for example. you do not have the possibility to create a mobile application to publish it on the stores and therefore use features for push notifications. The possibilities will surely evolve in the future.

build fast, test fast, and iterate fast.

Glide is simple but powerful. The only limitation is your imagination.

There are some challenges at times when you need certain things updating in real time.

Glide has allowed us to convert our Map & Guide into a digital, paperless product.

The fact that making a web application all boils down to creation of a basic Google Sheet skeleton template and that it is continuously refreshed based on changes in the Sheet data.

The least helpful things about using Glide are the inability to use the apps without an Internet connection and the inability to publish the application onto App Stores.

I think their tutorials need to be more detailed, not always are very clear how the feature works. However, it seems they are in a continuous improvement.

Glide is very easy to get started with and requires no coding at all. Unlike other platforms that have a huge learning curve you can build with Glide very quickly.

When users add data to Glide the refresh speed is not great right now when syncing with, for example, Airtable. This is a problem.

The tool is the most thoughtfully designed webtool I have ever used. Glide makes it simple to design beautiful web pages. Their documentation is thorough and support is fast, polite, and friendly. Glide is more than a tool - it is a community.

That it cannot clone me so that my clone can work in Glide all day long while the real me can also work in Glide. Joking - but the point is that Glide takes all the pain out of development, so that you can rapidly turn your ideas into action. I truly have not experienced any other tool like this. It provides leverage to your imagination. I really cannot identify a negative, because I understand their strategy and the niche they are going after. Some users may dislike that the tool is not more focused on app development for startups, but their niche is internal tools it seems, and they are incredibly strong at this niche. Another dislike could be pricing, though I have not found this to be an issue.

I build internal tools for my company and it makes me look like a rockstar. I also help friends rapidly turn their ideas into something real. It is an incredibly satisfying and rewarding process.

There's so much to love about Glide from the ease of use to the UI and features that makes any app you build look great. But overall the community and team behind this product is what sets it apart. You can build anything with Glide. No matter how complex their support is available and responsive to community feedback which has made all the difference in our business and products built for clients.

The only setback I'd mention is that Glide is not currently focused on the startup market, their product is designed mostly for building internal solutions for small, mid and enterprise level businesses.

The best part of Glide is the speed at which you can have a fully functioning app up and running. I've been impressed with even just the out of the box functionality.

There's a bit of a learning curve when you're trying to do something bespoke. I mean, if you can dream it up, you can make it work, but you might have a tough time getting it across the line without some expert help. Their website has a list of some amazing experts that can help with the tough use cases.

Glide is solving the problem of getting a normal person into the app building business. If you have an idea, you can probably get it sorted using Glide! My team has had excellent success helping others use the app and they love how quickly we can turn around a new feature.

I like how much Glide features Experts, which was helpful not only in taking our projects to the next step, but when learning the platform through Expert-created resources. As a platform, they're responsive to our needs and easy to train new folks who are familiar with spreadsheets

I wish Glide had a little more non-profit support. Non-profits can sign up for certain plans, but we found our needs exceeded the provided plan. It'd be great if non-profits could be offered a flat discount so we can test out some of the more advanced features and customize GlideApps for larger user groups

Developing educational tools for student and educator users with a clean, easy to understand interface for both creators and users. We're still integrating all our new products into our workflows, but our team is excited to use them

I had signed up for a developing program to create an app and I was first introduced to Glide. I thought at first that Glide was going to be very complex but that is further from the truth. There are many great features to utilize your app to its maximum potential. Also, the Glide community is a great resource center that brings their questions, comments, and knowledge virtually.

I can not think of anything I dislike because I used these resources. For instance, I was always in the community asking questions about features I can use on my apps.

It is a platform with a very easy, logic environment, where you can put together complex data series, with a nice UX experience for your customers, sales team, and more.

I do not particularly appreciate that there is only one way to make payments; also, the pricing method needs to consider a broader scope of business types, in my case, is very expensive due to the kind of market I`m trying to reach in Mexico. I am still testing the platform, so I hope there are no more one-option choices or it keeps improving.

When finished, the app will let my customers know about my inventory; the idea is that they will have at reach much of the information they need to proceed with a purchase, saving time and costs.

It's simplicity and range of features. It allows for complexity and complex functions but also people who need simple tracking to get just as much.

I find the colors limiting as you can now choose which colour exactly you want, but would love to beable to customize look more.

Glide tables can become unruly, with limited options for customizing visibility or reorganizing information. Graphic design options are limited for overall colors and collections.

Best thing I found about using Glide was the clear easy-to-use interface. It's a great way to build an app with absolutely no coding experience or knowledge required.

I found navigating from the tab area a bit confusing as it's very squashed.

Creating visual apps that are easier to understand than spreadsheets

Glide apps are created starting from the data structure. UI Components are then easily linked to the relevant data and everything else with the UI is automatically done.

This also means the logic is handled in the database, which might be inefficient (eg: having to create three+ columns for eg: a membership points system and make certain operations challenging. It would also be nice if there were a way to display data in the datagrid in colour so data can be colour coded.

It helps me empower others to create internal tools to improve efficiency. It also serves as a platform to bring CS ideas others learnt in class to a life by creating a real life product.

Nice way to build apps for many different purposes without coding.

More power to control data flow would be great (they are starting to address this in their new version)

How to prove a concept without a development team.

UI, the foremost. It has the best fluidic UI for any app builder I have used. Functionality-wise, I like they support Google sheets natively, which is one of the main requirements for me whenever I search for app builders. They seem to develop their product actively. They added native support for MS Excel few months back.

if you need to build something more than what their template provides, then it will take some time to figure out how (at least it did for me, but I hear that they have added a lot of support docs/video since then) so not strictly a negative but that's what I disliked. I am a kinda impatient guy!

When I stumbled upon glide I was desperately searching for an app builder (no/low code) where I could make use of the data I already have in my google sheets. Glide was solving exactly that problem for me.
