Overall, it comes down to simplicity. All the features that you could need elegantly put into an intuitive package. The segment builder, for example, is the best of its kind in any marketing platform I have ever used. Flow logic feels intuitive and not intimidating. They even provide so many templates for all parts of their platform, along with tons of resource documents, to help new brands get the most out of Klaviyo. But really, the best part of Klaviyo starts with its people. Having been a brand using Klaviyo for half a decade now, it is incredible to see how much their team cares about driving new features that impact businesses. Their project managers, account managers, and technical experts are all top-notch. They constantly seek feedback and ask what would be a helpful tool for brands. SMS is the recent example of coming in and making it what it should be and charging a fair price.
Klaviyo is primarily for Shopify stores at has the best connection, so would be good to see more connections and a tighter Magento connection. But magento is a big beast and more stores are switching to Shopify for many reasons, Klaviyo being one of the valid reasons to switch.

We recently started using SMS and the results have been fantastic! It's was easy to setup and our customers love it.
I love how easily it integrates in ecommerce mechanism automatically in shopify. You can easily create shopping and notifications flow on shopify.
Pricing can be a concern, but they do give a free limited list functionality, which can be utilized for smaller audience related ecommerce notifications.

The automation of Klaviyo is second to none. It is visual, easy to use, and a snap to create with.
I wish it could integrate a CRM a bit more effficiently. Uploading contacts isn't intuitive.

Cost. There are many platforms that has similar capabilities in terms of ease, emails and sms, but the cost for Klaviyo use is pretty high compared to other such as Sendinblue, Mailchimp and SendGrid

Overall, Klaviyo in general is an exceptional and powerful tool that is built for profitable revenue growth, especially for eCommerce brands... We as an agency are learning things every day about the platform and I really don't know any other platform that tops it or even comes close. I love the way that it allows you to make informed data-driven decisions to really drive growth. Not using the platform would be a disservice to your brand/company. Do it! Ps. I am waiting for Klaviyo to start trading on the stock market so I can be an early adopter to start investing, i believe in it that much!
Nada. The platform is amazing. I think the only thing would be to consolidate the number of resources for learning.. there is just soo much great stuff (not a bad problem to have!)

Klaviyo automated e-mail marketing for abandoned cart recovery is simply outstanding! This tool decreased my abandoned cart rate by 37%, increasing my sales pretty high! I truly recommend it for all ecom owners!
Unfortunately, sometimes the system sends more than one e-mail to my clients, and this is not ideal; I hope they solve this little problem as soon as possible =)

The number of features and useful ways they can all be combined. The number of integrations. The richness of options for segmenting, building flows, delivering/scheduling content, & overall ease of use. The platform i consistently updated, and support ha always been helpful.
I don't really feel like there are many downsides worth mentioning. You could always ask for more, but as an overall platform and for the features they provide, I think Klaviyo is best in class. If I have to, embedded forms come to mind, as an area where features/customization could be improved slightly, but there are ways to work with the existing setup, and you can integrate with third-party form builders if you prefer something else.
We do all our email marketing through Klaviyo. This year we were able to implement SMS. The flows have drastically improved our customer experience, retention, and driven sales up exponentially by making generally simple additions consistently over time. We have been able to easily integrate with other apps we use on our store for our rewards program and skincare quiz to provide segmented content based on input from those apps.

Klaviyo has many beautiful features. Starting with the dashboard, you can see exactly how many active profiles you have, how many emails are sent in a billing cycle, and even your monthly plan cost. Once you get past the front page, the analytics are amazing. They have metrics for EVERYTHING, and it integrates seamlessly with Shopify. You are also provided benchmarks to see how your campaigns are performing, and you can also create custom reports. The profile information on customers is robust and very useful. You can also break them down into segments for targeted marketing. If you are looking for an email marketing tool, you can't go wrong with Klaviyo.
The only downside to Klaviyo, for me, is the learning curve involved with using their email creation and editing tools. They aren't the most intuitive, but once you do get them under control, they are very usefull.
We use Klaviyo for weekly communication with our customers, sending sale information, coupons, and general updates, be they around Covid or just personnel changes.
It's very user-friendly and has a ton of customization options. Also, when it comes to automation sequences, Klaviyo is the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time)!!! Analytics are very detailed as well!
There isn't much to dislike with Klaviyo. From our experience, there are some cheaper options available that don't quite stack up. If Klaviyo was cheaper and kept all fo it's same features, it would be much more appealing to newbies in eCommerce!
Email marketing to reach our customer base and spread information at scale. We send weekly newsletters as well as order follow-ups, welcome sequences, and even abandon cart sequences.
I like the flows and the campaign sending capability. It is great to be able to communicate directly to our customers and followers.
It can be a little hard to get in there if you aren't familiar. I have other responsibilities outside of email so it could be stripped down for less experienced users.
We are communicating with our list consistently. We have made a lot of sales using Klaviyo.
Klaviyo's very easy to get started with, but it also has a lot of depth and complexity to it. This allows you to really grow with it as a solution as your business grows.
The email editor can be a little bit slow.
I am using Klaviyo for both email flows and my weekly email campaigns. It generates revenue directly on both counts.
