As businesses and marketers seek effective ways to connect with their customers and leads, the demand for a robust webinar solution becomes evident. While platforms like Zoom and Skype have their advantages, they may not meet the requirements for scaling operations. Livestorm, on the other hand, is an all-in-one webinar platform designed to cater to this specific need.
In this Livestorm review, we will delve into why it is one of our top recommendations for hosting webinars and online meetings. We will also explore its marketing features that can enhance brand recognition. So, let’s dive in and discover what Livestorm has to offer.
In this comprehensive review of Livestorm, we’re going to unpack the reasons why it stands tall as one of our premier picks for conducting webinars and online meetings. We’ll also shed light on its potent marketing features that can turbocharge your brand’s visibility. So, let’s dive in and discover what Livestorm has to offer.
Livestorm is a powerful webinar software that provides a range of features to facilitate seamless online meetings and webinars. Developed with the goal of offering an all-in-one solution, Livestorm caters to businesses and marketers who are looking to host engaging and interactive webinars.
The platform is designed to support a variety of webinar types, including live, on-demand, and automated webinars, making it a versatile choice for businesses. Livestorm also places a significant focus on integration, offering a marketplace of over 1000+ integrations that allow users to connect the platform with their existing tech stack.
Livestorm offers a plethora of features that set it apart from other webinar software tools. Besides standard webinar-related functionalities, Livestorm is committed to providing robust marketing tools. Its built-in landing page builder and funnel analytics are testament to this focus, enabling users to effectively market their webinars and analyze their performance.
Let’s have a look at its other standout features:
Livestorm simplifies the process of sending email invitations to attendees. The intuitive user interface allows you to create separate emails for different segments, preview how the emails will appear, and easily edit their contents.
Livestorm provides integrated chat functionality, allowing you to engage with your audience during webinars. You can choose between public and private chat options, and even make the slideshow available for immediate download as a PDF file.
While Livestorm lacks the ability to pre-configure polls and call-to-actions in the webinar setup, it does offer these interactive features during live sessions. This enables you to gather valuable insights and drive engagement among attendees.
Livestorm integrates seamlessly with various third-party apps, expanding its functionality. With integrations such as Zapier, Webhooks, Slack, Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Pipedrive, you can enhance your webinar experience and streamline your workflow.
Livestorm provides comprehensive analytics to help you measure the success of your webinars. From key metrics to attendee and replay views, you can gain valuable insights into the performance of your events. The reports can be exported in Excel, CSV, or ODS format for further analysis.
Livestorm offers the convenience of impromptu meetings through its Instant Meetings feature. With just your name and a URL slug, you can quickly create a meeting room and invite team members to join. This feature is particularly useful for immediate collaboration or support sessions.
Livestorm boasts a user-friendly interface that makes setting up and managing webinars a breeze. The platform’s intuitive design ensures that even users with limited technical expertise can navigate through the various features effortlessly.
The webinar email setup, for instance, is remarkably straightforward. The interface allows you to easily preview and edit the contents of your email invitations, making it one of the smoothest parts of using Livestorm. You can customize the email texts, add shortcodes, and even modify button texts and colors to align with your branding.
During the webinar itself, Livestorm offers a range of audience interaction options. You can set up an integrated chat that can be either public or private, allowing for seamless communication between participants. Additionally, Livestorm provides the option to make the slideshow immediately available for download as a PDF file, enabling attendees to review the material at their convenience.
One area where Livestorm could improve is in the pre-configuration of polls and call-to-actions. While the platform does offer these features, they cannot be pre-configured during the webinar setup. This limitation may be a drawback for those running product demos or online meetings where real-time interaction is crucial.
When it comes to mobile experience, Livestorm performs well overall. Joining a webinar on a mobile device is seamless, with the interface being perfectly responsive. The webcam and slideshow presentations are clearly visible, and the chat and interaction tools are conveniently placed below the webinar video. However, it’s worth noting that there is a 15-second video delay on mobile devices, which may impact the overall event performance.
Livestorm is known for its reliable performance, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted webinars. The platform is designed to handle high attendee volumes without compromising on quality. Users can rely on Livestorm to deliver a seamless webinar experience, minimizing the risk of technical glitches or crashes.
Livestorm offers a range of plans to cater to different needs and audience sizes. The Free plan is a great starting point for small-scale webinars, while the Starter, Premium, and Enterprise plans provide increased attendee limits and additional features. The Enterprise Plus plan offers custom pricing for organizations with specific requirements.

A: Yes, Livestorm does offer a free plan that includes many of the platform’s features. However, it is important to note that the free plan has limitations, such as a maximum duration of 20 minutes per event and a maximum of 10 registrants per event. For more extensive usage and additional features, you may need to consider one of the paid plans.

However, the pricing for these add-ons remains competitive compared to other webinar platforms.
Overall, Livestorm is a fantastic platform with a great user interface that is incredibly user-friendly. It offers a comprehensive set of features that cater to all your webinar needs.
-The entire design of attending an event is great. - Features like anyone can move the slides, doc upload are great. - Embedded forms are customizable
- The tech backend is not sturdy when compared to Zoom. - Integrations are pretty shaky. You cannot customize the integration. - Support is slow.
We used LiveStorm for our webinars and virtual events. It was used for hosting them and for lead generation.
As the social media manager, I like that all the links are gathered in one spot. Makes it easy to reference and send out through various platforms.
I'm not in charge of the landing pages/sign up pages, but I think we could customize them more (in a simpler fashion). Sometimes our design team has time to design, but a lot of times it creates a bottle neck in our system. Just changing the background colors might help keep us more on brand.
We host a lot of webinars and it automates the process of having a repertoire of video content.
The "duplicate event" and automated webinar function is very useful.
That you have very little possibilities to design your registration page. The spaces for the Logos and pictures is to stiff and unflexible.
We can create own webinars and thus brand awareness.
It has a relatively easy user interface and overall smooth experience
Their customer service has been quite poor thus far, and embedding registration forms on landing pages is difficult
Lead gen + webinars
Modern sleek interface which is very intuitive for the user. Quick onboarding and fast learning curve to use software, good availability of the support resources. Plenty of integrations make my work really much easier.
Pricing is really high when you need more than 30 attendees, there are many cheaper alternatives out there. It's not the best pricing plan for the smaller companies.
I run regular webinars for small audiences on the platform, and functionality-wise it has been working pretty great for me. I don't see any lack in features but if I plan to expand, I might consider another platform.
Rather easy to use. Our speakers manage to go on stage easily We don''t have much technical issues The chat and question tabs are easy to find and use Easy to upload the recording and list of qestions/comments
Our internal speakers change at each webinar and the biggest issue is : when a speaker has been a team member once, he can not register as a guest for our following events. This makes us have a very long list of team members and it increases the risk of incorrect handling.
We can easily see the number of cutomers registered and we can define the mandatory fields.
I like the UX, it's intuitive and simple to use.
We mainly use it for webinars so the meetings aren't really that interesting for us and can be a bit confusing in terms of options if not in use
Planning, scheduling and hosting live webinars. I've used other competitor platforms and Livestorm is great in terms of user experience for attendees online. Would like to see more built in features, i.e.: showing off poll results in screen without the use of integrated tools
Great for collecting information on e-events. Also great for a team with multiple logins. However, it is a bit glitchy at times. The editing functions are not always where we expect them, and on more than one occasion, the event glitched while showing pre-loaded media.
Sometimes we have issues with preloaded content showing to our audience. It can also be a bit limiting with the type of data it collects in role type for ABM needs.
It collects registration information so we can determine the targeted market outreach of our event and whether it was successful. We like being able to understand who is coming to our events.
It is very easy to login into instant meetings and invite people to join.
It happened already a couple of times that the service was down when I had an important meeting. Moreover, livestorm sometimes does not work well with some browsers and some bugs are present, e.g. yesterday I was in a meeting and few participants weren't able to share their screens. Moreover, when it comes to hybrid events, it is hard to connect it with a videoconference system
It is very easy for people to access. I have my own instant meeting room and I just share the link with the other person. especially with my colleagues, there is no need to create an event for just a quick call to clarify something.
I like the most the fact we can brand our events.
Confirmation emails go on spam many times.
possibility to create online events and have people interract with us during the events
It's fairly simply to use and I assume it's lower cost. All in all it works decently. I do wish they upgraded their servers. It seems laggier than most other solutions.
It's not as fluid and clean as others on the market. I notice more choppiness in the videos of presenters than I typically do when I see webinars hosted with something like Zoom. It's not all the time, but it's sometimes. And it's not a bandwidth thing, I've seen the same presenters appear perfectly fine in Zoom but then choppy in Livestorm. I also don't think they do a great job with after webinar watching and aren't able to integrate into other systems very well.
It's a webinar tool and it's what we use at our company for webinars. That's it. I have suggested we switch to Zoom webinars many times though, as I think we'll get better results.
The smart looks, easy to use for speakers; the support is great.
Features missing: no massive automated upload of registrants available. I can't stop the system sending out emails to speakers when I add them up.
Live webinars with on-demand recording, better looks than other platforms, generally reliable
In Chinese Replay Landing page Good for webinar
A bit expensive Unknown in China Not really customizable
I can market webinar to generate leads
ability for huge audiences, and also able to register
not compatible with edge or google chrome
allows us to run webinars
1. Powerful tool for hosting webinars with hundreds of people. 2. I like how we can keep track of all our webinars. 3. I like the upvote button so that attendees can see the most popular questions.
Sometimes, I have trouble logging in using the Safari browser.
Use it to host monthly webinars with over 500 attendees
I like the userface as well we the ease of use. The system rarely breaks.
The integration use leaves something to be desired and some functionality is clunky.
It helps us share our message with the world.
Very easy to use, also extremely accessible for viewers Appreciate the collaborative features
I would prefer to be able to embed live onto other services All else is good
Solving the issue of having somewhere to livestream webinars online Not financially benefitting but using for lead generation
The platform is great, easy to use, multiple features
The customer service. Livestorm display crashed just before one of our webinars and around 50% of our attendees couldn't see our presentation. In addition to the financial shortfall and a poor brand image for us, we have invested a lot of time in creating this webinar. We know bugs can happen and I think Livestorm seems good at preventing incidents (see their status page). However, we blame the poor customer support during and after the incident. They offered us a vulgar 12 euros compensation! (we've been using Livestorm for 2 years now). We planned to increase the number of licences but I think we will find another webinar tool that will give us some decent consideration. Quentin C
Customer acquisition, customer loyalty and brand image
It has been a user friendly platform, and speakers like it.
How could I possible recommend a company that decides the annual renewal is going to change to a different subscription model, and tells me not a month before the renewal is up, when I have more than 25 events scheduled and having been promoting? Then, when I asked to extend my current contract by 6 months to give me time to analyze this, they refused. They said the minimum renewal is 12 months. I was forced to renew with them for 12 months because I could not afford to lose those 25 events I had already scheduled and promoted that run through September. What company does this kind of thing? How did they notify me? An email that said "your current offer is about to expire." We've been a customer for 3 years. I had to email multiple times to find out what that sentence meant. Their new pricing model charges per "active contact" - which means they charge for registrants, not just attendees. I had to purchase additional active contacts in a package of 1,500 contacts for $1,875. That is $1.25 per new registrant for our webinars. Other webinar platforms that charge for contacts charge for actual attendees, not registrants, and they charge 12.5 CENTS per attendee. Livestorm charges 10 times more than what other companies charge, PLUS they charge for registrants not attendees. At the rate they I have had to purchase additional contacts, Livestorm is turning out to be more expensive than On24 (which is the gold standard for a webinar platform). And Livestorm is nowhere near as sophicated as On24. Livestorm is a terrible compay, terrible customer service. I don't know who the genius there is that decided to rip everyone off with this new pricing model -- but my message to that person is that you are going to lose customers.
At the time it allowed me to easily create webinars and virtual info sessions and create the landing pages, automatic emails, etc. But right now, it is causing more problems than it is worth because of their rudeness at changing the fee when I have too many events scheduled to be able to move to a different platform.
Generally speaking, Livestorm has all the features one may need while conducting online webinars. The UI is quite fast and runs even on old PCs, you can seamlessly share your screen or a presentation directly, there is a chat, there are polls, the service tracks the attendees and their watch ratio etc.
The "output" quality on the stream of my camera varied. Some attendees experienced lower quality of the stream.
We can easily conduct webinars and online events.
