The interface is straightforward and easy to navigate, with an attractive but functional layout.
There is nothing in particular that I dislike.
The ability to hire talent from countries where we don't have a business entity.
Oyster are very helpful and responsive with any query raised. They share all stages of the onboarding process for visibilty and i trust our employees are in the best hands.
There was a contract change which i submitted for an employee, which took a number of weeks to resolve, however the team kept regular communication and was resolved eventually.
There was a slight issue with the platform when submitting a payroll change, but the support team looked into this immediately and resolved within a day. In the meantime, the team were able to submit the payroll change on my behalf.. which helped as payroll cut off was approaching. Very thankful for Oyster going out of their way to help.
Cross-country employment is a very cumbersome and time-consuming process that involves dealing with local tax, insurance, and legal regulations. Oyster eliminates this time-consuming and stressful process.
The payment process was difficult because it was somewhat shorter than our payment term. No other problems in particular.
We had an employee who was scheduled to work overseas become the employee of Oyster and work for our company because he could not be directly worked for various reasons.
I have used Oyster from an user perspective. So, my onboarding with my new organization has taken place via Oyster. It was very smooth. The details were very clear. Also, any queries were clarified at the earliest by the onboarding contact person. The option to sign any agreement documents using custom signature or having the inbuilt feature to signature was very efficient. Overall I loved the experience with Oyster.
During my experience, I have not found any downsides of Oyster. My experience was very nice. So, unfortunately, I won't be able to provide any points for improvemnet at this time.
I will be going to be employed by a customer company who does not have a legal entity in India, my native country. So, via Oyster that purpose to employ me has been fulfilled. Oyster has taken care of employment agreements with me, so via its platfrom I am going to be employed to the customer company.
Its simplicity and the fact that most of the things are automated. I find that I had in the platform everything that I needed and no more, and it was very intuitive to work with. On the operational side everytjing went smooth - like contracts, payments, support request. I also appreciate the positive attitude of the staff and embedded in the concept - that made the platform more trustful.
At times they answered a bit slower to our request but I must say I did not face any big issues with that. No harm done.
I was compensated for work done in my country, for a company that did not have local presence.
Oysters' communication is direct, professional, and consistent, They always help when they are problems. I would recommend Oyster for anyone working remotely for a company.
There are not many dislikes I have about Oyster, since everything usually works very smoothly. Sometimes the waiting times can be long due to high demand. Overall all is good!
It's helping me to work for a company that is not based in the same country that I live in. It allows me to broaden my work opportunities by not being tied to jobs in my area.
Ease of use, both from a system perspective and user perspective. Using it from an employer perspective has been simple and easy to use meaning I have less concerns.
I don't have any significant concerns. They are moving heavily to Self Servce which works when the team are engage however if you are hiring across the business and therefore have a large manager population who only interact with the system every few weeks, the central admin tends to be the 'go-to' which can be frustrating.
It ensures we do not need to set up entities locally which reduces admin and cost burdens. It also opens up the georgraphies we can hire in relatively easily.
Oysters provide a fantastic platform that allows for (nearly) everything to be handled without having to contact a member of the support team. They have constantly developed the product over the last 12 months and reviewed internal processes to speed up things like payroll, accessing documents etc to improve on the user experience whilst still giving great customer service when you need a friendly member of the team to support with a query.
Sometimes, understanding payroll can be tricky, especially where reconciliation is required, but Oyster are dealing with improving this process to reduce the workload on the users side.
Oyster allows us to seamlessly hire employees in different countries, taking responsibility for the onboarding and offboarding of employees allowing us to focus on business. This is a big positive for us as we aren't experts in local law in other countries.
Oyster does a great job of keeping the end user in mind and ensuring that the admins have everything they need. I also love that the platform comes with the cost tool to help understand every detail that comes with hiring in a new country.
A better notification system would go a long way along with a better dashboard that gives a quick overview of each contractor/employee and any actions that need to be taken with them.
We are able to hire in many different countries without having to worry about any compliance issues.
The Team was incredible - professional, efficient and highly knowledgeable - activating the company was fast and stress-free, and the ability to customize the process to align with our company practices was brilliant.
To be honest - there has been nothing I have found that I dislike about Oyster. The portal, process of onboarding, activating the company profile, expenses approval, and invoices - they all add value and are easy to use.
We value Oyster to onboard the best skills in countries where we do not have a legal entity - Oyster allows us the freedom to hire in so many countries and has opened up our recruitment options. With Oyster we are able to find and engage the best skills globally with ease whilst still knowing we are compliant in a country where we have no legal entity.
The platform is really intuitive and Oyster's staff is really helpful
It might be a bit challenging to figure out the exact cost at first, but Oyster is making improvements to their calculation tool already
Tax & labor laws are complex and cannot realistically be mastered for every jurisdiction for smaller organization. Oyster made possible to hire internationally without the fear of not complying to local laws.
Thw onboarding process benefits and the ease of usage of the website also we are getting international insurance which is quite good

I joined a remote company as the first employee in my country. The onboarding process was smooth and straightforward, and OysterHR with their local partner made it easy for me. Payroll, health insurance, and work permit were all taken care of for me as if I'd just joined a local company.
There was once or twice when my support questions took longer to answer than I expected. If they were urgent issues, I could've called for a faster response. In my case, the delays weren't problematic.
My company doesn't have a legal entity in my country. So payroll and my residence status are possible by officially being an employee of OysterHR's local partner. I didn't have to create a BV or handle the additional accounting and paperwork. For me, it's as if I'm just working for a local employer.
The platform is easy to use allowing us to onboard talent in countries where we are not registered to do business. The support team is very responsive and there are many tools available outside of "business hours" such as cost calculators and country profiles. Very responsive to our business's needs and preferences.
Onboarding time varies (sometimes significantly) by country so it can be hard to estimate a good start date.

Sometimes a new hire is speedy, and then another one takes a lot of time, but you don't know why, not so much follow-up except if you ask for it.
The capability to hire people across Europe easily and for a little cost. We do not need to be experts in the legislation of all European countries where we have employees. Oyster offers resourceful tools and advice to help us.
I like how Oyster allows us to hire and set up remote contractors in many countries along with support from all aspects of the employee life cycle.
It would be nice if we had a dedicated account manager to sync with on a monthly basis.

It's administratively a bit heavy, but that is the cost of extending your workforce in a compliant fashion.

Additionally the interface and dashboard makes it really easy to have a comprehensive outlook on the state of our international hiring and any outstanding items.
