It is an easy to use tool. You can easily select the templates and create beautiful popups for the website. Great thing is you don't need to be a programmer.
If they can have a feature using which users can upload their own custom popups, that would be a game changer. Other than that I think the tool is great. I don't think there is anything I dislike about this tool, If they can increase the limit for the total page view in mid-tier plans then that would be great.
We use it almost daily. We have created hello bars and pop up for our web pages and we are able to capture the leads. Sometime we choose a simple template and change the wordings and CTA. Best thing about this tool is how simple it is to use, even a person new to digital marketing domain can use it. And the stats it provides are truly amazing, you can basically create filters or conditions so that your popup appears on specific pages. And there is an option to show it to users who are about to leave the website, which I think is amazing. Apart from all these things, you can also upload images in the popup and change the background and CTA colors and fonts, overall it is a good tool and its helping us capture the leads. I would recommend it to my fellow digital marketers as well. Pretty clean UI and easy to apply filters for Popups.
Hello Bar is super easy to install, use, customize, test, etc. comes with great templates and works!
i think it needs to be built out a little more to have more/better functionality, for example, i want an email sent to myself everytime a new contact fills out a popup with their name, email and phone number, but right now im using zapier to do that AND i cant get the phone number sent to myself, so its kind of a hassle for my purpose.
mainly using hello bar for our popup needs, its great for that!
It's easy to create A/B tests and improve your numbers when capturing emails or sending people to other landing pages.
My company works with 3 different languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish). Together, we have more than 4k blog posts published achieving around 8 million visitors per month. Hello Bar doesn't make my job easier. To achieve better conversion rates, it's necessary to group blog posts around a specific topic and then create the pop-up. But with Hello Bar, it's really hard to track that (is the blog post about "SEO for YouTube" showing the SEO offer or the social media offer? I have to open the blog post in an incognito tab to discover and keep track of it in a spreadsheet.). I can't integrate with Hubspot, so I need a second tool (Zapier) to do the trick. I can't deliver the ebooks and templates right away, so I need to create extra workflows or forms inside Hubspot.
We capture thousands of contacts per month promoting our best lead gen magnets.
I love that it's (somewhat) easy to create a banner without the help of a web developer, and it's easy to turn banners off and on with the click of a button.
I wish I could schedule banners for things like product launches so I don't have to manually enable/disable them. The UX also isn't very intuitive.
I can add banners to my website without the help of a developer.
