Paymo is very easy to use. The interface is simple to learn and teach to staff. The pricing is excellent as well.
I don't really have any negative thoughts about Paymo other than the widget could be a little more robust.
We have used paymo to fill the gap in our time tracking needs for projects.
Paymo is an easy to use tool for tracking time and expenses, plus it has a good (basic) project mgmt feature that allows you to track project milestones and related time. It's a good solution for small businesses.
inability to customize rates per person for different projects.
tracking project time; managing/monitoring project status
I like that the Paymo team is constantly working to improve upon the software.
Sometimes when changes are made, it can be difficult to keep up with the new dashboard.
I use this only for solo projects, so it's perfect for just me. I can track my freelance work and easily invoice.
I like the fact that all project information are kept in a single location. I can create tasks easily and can later on go back to enter details about tasks including the anticipate duration and effort. I also like that I can feed all these information into a an invoice in my local currency and mail customized invoices directly from Paymo to clients.
I am using the free version and I find that I can only enter one expense each month and require a (relatively) expensive invoice add-on in order to be able to keep track of expenses. I also used the product when it was free and I feel, even though it is competitively priced, there should be a grandfathering scheme with usable features for all of us who used it in the past
I tend to work on many projects at the same time and keeping track of them especially time worked is always a challenge. Simple reminders on what tasks I should work on and when they are due are lifesavers when you work on projects across multiple organizations, multiple geographies and multiple business domains. Paymo makes it easy for me to keep all project information in one location, track how much time has been spent on individual tasks and get an idea about how much I should be billing for completed tasks, even if I don't end up billing those hours.
The ease of use, ability to add tasks and milestones and invoicing capability are my favorite things about Paymo.
The preprogrammed 15 minute increment for calculating time for running invoices should be programable such that in office settings it can be permanently changed just like price per hour. Lawyers typically bill in 6 minutes increments. Therefore, every invoice that is run has to be manually altered to removed the 15 minute increment and change it to a 6 minute increment.
I use paymo as my office billing system and database.
it's simple and offer custom reports PDF
i'm italian and i would like to create my invoice with paymo but it have not my fiscal italian profile
i have always the works situation in my hands and i quickly made invoices to my clients with reports
The user interface is fantastic, lots of useful options and the data is formatted perfectly.
The time entry could be better, we would like to be able to copy paste time entries
We only use paymo for time management, to see how much time we are putting into a project relative to the amount we quoted
Ease of use. Responsiveness of team overall.
Integration points. Would love to see some integrated tools with Quickbooks and some more features in the invoice management arena. A few bugs they could work on.
Time management, invoicing.
Good user interface (GUI), easy to use, chat-support
I want to do more, i want to be more flex (i.e. dashboard), I need to login again each time
My boss now know what a do and i know what need a lot of work...
The ease with which we can create invoices automatically with the data from our timesheets
I think the price for each additional user is a bit too much. If there would be a plan for groups of users (for example up to 5/20/etc) with a more reasonable price we could include more team members.
We keep track on paymo of all our company projects and the time we spend on each of them. With this we can easily generate invoices monthly for our customers. The main benefit is that we don't lose any time going through timesheets to generate invoices, everything is done automatically and that's great.
Easy time tracking and time entries. Easy reporting and exporting of the reports. Easy to see your peers' recorded hours. Cost efficient.
Not a lot of room to customize - for example, format of invoicing. No Japanese language interface.
Our time-based billing process became more efficient after using this app.
What I like best about Paymo is how accurate it can be. Paymo gives me a true statistical overview of my progress. Using paymy gives me a strong prediction and overview of how much time is needed to be good at something.
It would be great if there was a option in calendar which gave me the opertunity to repeat tasks weekly. It can be hard to insert this manually.
I can manage and estimate how much time is needed to get good at something. My life is more relaxed knowing what I spend my time on.
Clean Interface easy to navigate with good reporting capabilities
- A more refined report where I can separate clearly non-billed hours from billed ones. - Cut and paste time lacking in tsheet entries - Cust and paste for timesheet entry
Solutions in test and measurement sector
Analysis of my timesheets which help plan future projects better.
Minimum visible time slot of 15 min on the timesheets
Planning projects better in a more organised manner with actual analysis to refer to. Helpful in forming quotations for projects.
Basic system, effective planning, individual work program
It's so slow. Task schedule works hardly.
Team works and team members' daily plans. Seeing all the programs of all the agency is so good.
The software starts off free for plenty of time to familiarize yourself with the services. Download the app and navigate through video tutorials on each service
I didn't have to utilize all the services. Just needed a few.
Very user friendly. Plenty of tutorial videos if some parts seem difficult to start or navigate.
Unlike some other tools I used, this one isn't riddled with bugs.
The interface could be somewhat simpler.
It's a fairly good task manager, that completely eliminated my needs for other tools like Trello and such.
There are many products that cover time management or task-tracking but this Paymo adds to that invoicing. For a freelancer, this is a super important feature and it adds to the overall quality of the product. It is intuitive and easy to use a product that can replace any alternative.
Getting to learn how some features work will take more time than you are ready to invest in the beginning. And as someone who was primarily driven to by invoicing features, I would appreciate some more option for invoice templates.
I use it in the first place for time tracking and invoicing and having these two features integrated saves a lot of time.
The ability to track hours of each project and our time aligns with the estimate provided.
Ghost booking is not something that is easy to use. We used to be able to track the number of hours assigned to each project at the bottom of each project. That has went away and has not been fixed.
Time management. Tracking of different stages of each project. Ensuring we are budgeting the right house and that we are providing our clients with competitive pricing.
Time tracking - very handy to keep an eye on the time spent on certain project elements. The activity feed is handy to get a birdseye view of what's happening and when. If you're willing to sit down and put in the time at the start of the project, the level of detail you can get into regarding assigning tasks, time and plotting milestones is really beneficial.
The discussions were difficult to track - when attached documents to the job, it became confusing over the long duration of the project. For instance, referring someone back to a previous discussion was a little difficult over time when things had gotten lost.
We used Paymo to test out project management for a specific web project - we wanted to try a platform that allowed us to be incredibly detailed from the start of the project so everything could be kept on track. It's a great tracking tool, but it's not great as a central 'hub' for all data and documents pertaining to a project.
